for people bashing contestants

For people bashing contestants :

How would you define a 'singing contest'?
1) based on singing skills ?
2) based on performance skills ?
3) popularity ?
4) judged results ( no voting )
5) public voting ?

If you say singing skills, then there should be no voting !

All talents shows on air are actually popularity contests, since they are based on public voting. You think every audience listens with the ear of a music director ?

So if a contestant wins II3 who is not that skilled a singer, it is because he/she has endeared himself to the people, people like him/her, simply put , he/she was the most popular contestant, got the most amount of votes and thus deserve to win !! Simple as that !

So people, take the show in the right spirit and concede to the fact that it is a popularity contest and if you feel that your favourite should win vote for him/her, gather support for him/her, and don't complain about other contestant getting more votes !

exactly...it doesn't have to be a popularity contest. people just make it that way. it could actually be a singing contest if people would just listen lol 😆

yee dats wat i wud say....it is a popularity contest.. but in terms of singing...if u sing gud..u wud b popular not cuz of ur dancin...luks..personality..attitude or nationality! ppl open ur ears n listen! 😛

all reality shows are popular shows..and most popular person wins..

i know...i just wish the reason for their popularity was always their singing and not other reasons
