Julee,

hats off to you for bringing this up! I agree totally

But anyways we need to move forward and look to the next gala round. Past is past... lets forget the past and loo to the future. There are some really good singers left and we should just support singing and forget about chang/deepali/ankita/bihar/trp/anu malik/alisha/money... etc etc

In the end the one most deserving will remain.

AM had no right to ask that question😕, what these contestants do in their personal life is none of his or for that matter anyone's business. the judges should comment only on singing, they shouldnt bother if anybody's smoking, seeing someone, having a crush or whatever!!! why do they keep digging into their personal life for nothing 🤢🤢

I disagree. Annu Malik is full of himself most of the times, but he raises valid points, albeit harshly. Smoking, no doubt has an adverse effect on singing- it hinders the voice quality and it was evident on Prashant's last few performances. An aspiring singer should never smoke. Simple as that.

As for Deepali, while I agree that it was a personal matter, her singing should not be affected by her personal matters and Annu was pointing that fact out.

If you see, Annu scolded Emon for being over-confident, which to me he was to some extent and now he has been concentrating more on singing and doing justice to his songs. Same with Prashant and Deepali. Annu's comments have made these contestants to work hard which has raised the standard of singing in II.

I concur with these views. I didn't like the tone Anu Malik took when he asked Prashant about smoking but his concern was genuine. There are some established singers who smoke and drink but Prashant is just starting out and it does put strain in his voice. He also looke a bit flusteres when Anu asked that. Whatever the case may be I think Prashant needs major improvement. He is way off these days and earlier he was a clone of Kumar Sanu.
