Judges found her good that time because of the benchmark issue. When Richa sang in the auditions, she was fantastic, I really liked her then. Even inspite of the Richa - Prashant episode, I thought as a singer she was really good. She has very good command on classical stuff. But then after hearing her in the painos, it was a disappointment, she went flat in many places and her singing didn' have feeling.
In place of Richa, Aisha was a much better singer who deserved to be in the galas.
Comparing with Puja, Puja has a very childish voice too, but so far her performances have been bang on. Her Ek Pyaar Ka Nagma hain was phenomenal, such control on her voice. I felt she deserved a second chance. Same for Charu, every performance so far has been good, one mistake should be maafi !!
Richa on hte other hand is too young. she has a GREAT future ahead. If you see VOI, there is a singer ther, Sanchari Bose, same 16 years old. She got out yesterday because the judges felt hte same thing, too immature voice. Every1 is not a Shreya Goshal who at that age used to sing some intense songs with ease. I think if Richa comes next year or hte year later, she is gong to set the stage on fire. No doubt about that !
And I am happy with the results. Just sad that from now on, I dont think I'll ever be happy on Saturda !
