| | | The anchor: Hussain Kuwajerwala | Hussain Kuwajerwala seems to have become a hot favourite of reality shows. After making the right moves in Nach Baliye 2 along with wife Tina, the actor is all set to host Indian Idol 3.
When contacted, Hussain confirms the news, "Yes, I have been approached for the show just a couple of days back. But, I am in Goa right now enjoying my vacation. There are a lot of details to be worked out. I guess that will happen only when I return,"he said
Is he keen on doing it? "I am really keen on doing it. I quite liked the format of the show. I think it will be very interesting and exciting," he says.
Is he ready to step into Aman Verma's shoes for season three of Indian Idol? "Well, I am going to do my job. That's it. Aman Verma and Mini Mathur have done a pretty good job on the show, but I don't want to follow other people's footsteps. I will do it my own way," he adds.
Most follow-ups to reality shows have fallen flat on their faces. Does it bother him? "Everybody wants to deliver a hit with a planned strategy. There are a lot of things that make a programme popular. Every one will work very hard, and the rest depends on audiences. It's like any other exam, where you need both luck and hard work."
Hussain has been associated with two other reality shows before this one. "I have been hosting Shabaash India for a while now. It's extremely popular in cities as well as in interiors. Nach Baliye 2 was obviously a big boost to my career. Now, it's Indian Idol 3. I am forward to it."
As for rumours about his exit from Kumkum, he says, "Yes, I wanted to leave. But, the production house made some changes, and I am still doing the show."
What other projects is he doing? "I am doing two shows, Kumkum and Shabaash India. Soon I will be hosting Indian Idol 3 too. My calendar is choc-a-bloc with work. I don't think I can take on any more work."
