Hi Guys,

I had been to Karunya's show in NY and I had to travel 2 1/2 hrs from my place (I live in New Jersey) . But let me tell you, it was worth it. He simply made an indelible mark on the audience. Anyone who is in US, but little far away and are in two minds to attend the concert, please make it. You wouldn't regret going that far. He was interacting with audience all thru, talking to them, urging them to sing with him, and inviting them to dance. Overall the show was very lively and we left the place thinking 'time well spent'

The capacity of the hall (it was in a public library) was 257. But people turned out almost double. So the organizers divided the show into 2 and asked the people who were in the first half to leave so that they can accomodate the remaining. Some did it voluntararily and some argued. But anyway, ultimately everyone conceded. I was able to sweet talk and remain in both halfs😉

Here is the list of songs he sang.

First half:

1. Kawa Kawa
2. Ragamai Rave (telugu song - an oldie goldie)
3. Hum logon ko samajh....Dil hai hindustani
4. Deva deva devuda - from a very popular telugu movie (I understand RGV wants to make it in Hindi with Abhishek)
5. Badan Pe sitare
6. Sivasankari - A carnatic based classical song
7. Ya Ali
8. Layivina Gayi

Second Half

9. Ramta Jogi
10. Jhanak Jhanak
11. Chote chote shaharon se (Bunty aur bubli)
12. Subhanalla
13. Kya Maine socha
14. Hamma Hamma
15. Woh Lamhe

I am missing one song which he sang after Hamma which makes it 16 songs.😕

As you can see, he had blend classical and foot-tapping numbers in his concert.

Yup, one more news, he is coming to US again in September. 😊

By the way, I recorded the show. I will try to post video. Struggling with it since yesterday. I never uploaded video so far. Hope to be successful soon and share with you guys

You should see his stamina to believe. He was jumping, shaking and singing. And above all, didn't lose his sur.

how did he dress.....how were hemu and himabindu...were they around in this concert...

Ro, I didn't see Hima or Hemu. May be they are busy with their own schedule. They have concert in NJ on 22 July.

Karu was in white with some light print and black jeans in the first half. In the second half, he was wearing yellow shirt and military kinda dark blue cargo pant. The second one was looking bright and bubbly (last 3 songs, he was really really bouncing on the stage). The first dress was more sobre and dignified.

Did he sing the holi special song from II2 (are ja hat natkat).....that was one of his best.

Finally I convinced Raju to take me to one of his concert which is almost 8 hrs drive from here (to lousiville). The problem being the concert is sunday nite...so we are planning a 16 hr drive on sunday (2 way) and he has to go to work on monday morning.
