I think we should respect his spirit to entertain. At least he tries to make things lighter at his own expense. I feel comedy of any kind is difficult. He is not a professional poet but an MD. I will agree with you that considering every thing, he can be considered a good shayar.

This year he is polite in the show. This is good. He does not need too much time to write shayari.

Anu Malik can be a good Shayar if he choose good words. His shayari is more like a Tukhbandi means Rhyming poems. He tries to make things funny.

He has been little calm and tries to be in low profile because Asha ji is there.
