Second performance on Top 5 Night Curse?

I've come across the curse on the Internet. It seems that in Idol, on top 5 night, if you are the second performer, you are doomed to leave that week. And I think it has kept true?

In American Idol, this is what has happened since Season One with RJ Helton, Trenyce, George Huff, Scott Savol and my personal favorite out of all Idol contestants - Paris Bennett.

As for Indian Idol, I'm not too sure in which spot Ravinder performed, but I am sure that Antara was second in performing on Top 5 Night, right after Karunya - and she was gone the next day!

Is there more to this than meets the eye? Or is it just overhyped??

Ravinder Ravi performed first in top 5 night. i just watched it to check about the top 5 curse.
