The New K stud?
Amit Tandon couldn't have got any luckier -- the actor, who seems set to become the blue eyed boy of Ekta Kapoor, has several meaty projects lined up with Balaji Telefilms. Amit will soon be seen as one of the next generation Viranis in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, which will be take its second generation jump on June 7. In Kyunki... Amit plays Manthan, the son of Karan and Tanya. Amit is very excited about joining the Kyunki... team. "Ekta has told me that I have one of the best roles among the new entrants on the show and that I am going to be 'really bad'. However, I don't know whether I will be a villain or whether I'll be bad as in 'naughty'," says the actor, who start ed his stint with Balaji as Prithvi in Kaisa Yeh Pyar Hai. Amit is also playing one of the leads in another K serial, Krimson Skies, which will be aired on Star One. "The story revolves around two brothers who have the same father, but different mothers. Consequently, there is intense rivalry between the two," he says. "My role in Krimson Skies is a lot like that of Angad in Kaisa Yeh Pyar Hai," says the finalist of the first season of Indian Idol. Amit has also been chosen to host Balaji's very first reality show. "But it is too early to talk about it." And, as if this wasn't enough, Amit has exercised his vocal chords, too, with the situational numbers of Kya Hoga Nimmo Ka and might also sing a few tracks of Krimson Skies.
