was it the same?? plz do tell

this is my doubt as i wasnt in the forum during last years INdian Idol... so please Forum veterans tell me last time when abi won and amit lost was there the same type of verbal sparring and arguments? and was it to the same extent as this year or was it a sort of forgone conclusion that abi would win?
