singing in range

When i saw the RDB version of amey and then later the version of rajeev from SRGMP
i was shocked to say the least

rajeev sang it beautifully well whereas ameysang it realy bad

maybe amey shud have altered the track and range to suit his voice or not have attempted that song

but this only goes to show that all singers have a natural range
thats why nihira is rated so highly in srgmp bcos she has a 3.5 octave and a very wide range

RDB suited rajjev voice to a T ( rajeev IMHO was the worst singer in final 12 of srgmp )

but didnt suit amey at all

Amey is a fantastic singer but that song didnt suit his range at all

so lalit do you mean to say II singers are worst than even worst singer of srgmp? i agree that srgmp have really good singers. but II singers are not too bad yaar. kabhi to unki bhi praise karne ke liye post liya karo. 😕

Rajeev is a high pitch singer......I mean he can go really high......but his lower middle range is mediocre at best, VERY shaky. Whereas Amey shines in this range. Amey gave a good attempt at the song RDB, although Rajeev's was better but he didn't sing it live. What i am trying to say is that each singer is good in his/her own unique way.

Yeah, Rajeev's version wasn't live whereas Amey sang it live and it makes a big difference IMO.

Rajeev was lip-syncing the song frm what i knw....but yes tht song was not in Amey's range....every signer has a particular range where they excel----this song was tailor-made for rajeev while it was a totally different genre for amey.....RDB wasnt Amey's best but it wasnt a mediocre performance either.....If Rajeev is made to sing sogns tht r in Amey's range im sure he would sound very very ordinary.

i never said that amey was a bad singer

he is a singer par excellence

i tend to go flat at lower notes i know how tough it is sing at lower notes
more tougher than high pitches

just that this song was out of his range as told by the judges in II and if u are not confident abt a song then amey shud not have sung it
II like SRGMP is a show where people vote

i understand that he wanted to sing a popular song but choice of song is imp

his chunari mein daag was a fantastic song effort with excellent alaap at the end
and yes i am biased towards amey
i honestly think he is very good
he is better than all the guys of srgmp except perhaps hemu and sharib

Just my opinion that this song didnt suit his range

Sorry i tend to compare II and SRGMP singers
but i honestly feel SRGMP singers are the standard to which Amey can be compared to bcos hes an EX SRGMP finalist

just that he did not suit this song

let me put a positive angle to what i am saying

amey - amazing singer

rdb- wonderful high energy song

attempt- good

choice of song - very bad i really think amey shud conc on choice of songs his earler rendition when he came second last also pointed to his choice of song not being good

whereas that was an excellent song rendition by amey
