<p ="a">The
boy whom you made into a superstar is looking for a house. And it's
urgent, for the one he is staying in with his ageing parents can
collapse any day.Indian Idol Abhijit Sawant's father, Shridhar
Sawant, an employee of Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation's
Establishment Department at Byculla, received a notice a couple of days
back asking him to vacate his G-8, Sahu Nagar flat. The building needs
urgent repairs, it said.Though Abhijit made a name for himself when
he won the Indian Idol contest in October last year, he chose to stay
with hisr parents. "The notice has been a bit of a shock. I grew up
here. All my friends are here. I don't want to leave this place," he
told Mumbai Mirror on Tuesday.Shridhar Sawant, however, said he
would hold no grudge against the BMC. "If they are asking us to vacate,
we will. But they must make alternative arrangements," he said. The
notice does not say anything about alternative accommodation. Even if
it did, it would sure be in distant suburbs.Abhijit, whose first album 'Aapka Abhijit' has been a runaway success, has begun looking for a house, but he is not happy.G-8,
Sahu Nagar has been the Sawants' address for close to 12 years now.
Leaving the place would mean foresaking friends and neighbours who have
stood by them through thick and thin. "I do not want to desert the
other residents of the building as they are the ones who helped me
attain my current status. They were with me when I was just an aspiring
singer. How can I leave them in the lurch?" said Abhijit. Also,
there is the question of where the money would come from for a new
house. Abhijit won Rs 1 crore with the Idol crown. However, he said, he
has not received any money yet. Sahu Nagar comprises 20 building and is home to around 1200 Maharashtrians. The singer's mother, Neelima, had tears in her eyes. "It's hard to believe we would have to leave like this," she said.

i agree. what i am saying is if you are talented then many are going to sign you on. so this way i think rahul vaidya and amit sana are equally rich because they have got many movie offers and i think rahul vaidya has aigned some advts too. it is good that an excellent singer like abhijeet won II-1 title but if an okay singer wins a title then he is not going to be in limelight for long.

ya kinda.. but by the time its time for the okay singer to go.. he/she has improved so much that they are now in the "good" catagory singers.. like i loved all the songs in jodi no 1 😉

i agree to the highlighted part. it is a pity that only last 4 or 5 are going to be in limelight. contestants like sagar and panna are going to be forgotten. there was this guy amit jadhav in FG who was an all rounder whatever happened to him? similarly rahul saxena from II-1 was promised lots of things but i don't read about him anywhere.😔

What are you talking abt man!! he has already started singing in films. There was his song in film jawani deewani and also he has singed so many songs ..

Title dosesnt matter....But Top3 Top 5 Top among gals these thinsg really matter sicne they will get more offers....

Prajaktha getting more offers than Aditi though Aditi is a very good singer...If I am not wrong Aditi didnt get any playback offer till nw...though she sung in jassi soap.

While rahul vaidya & prajaktha made debut in shaadi no:1...

Being TOP 3 u will get chance for albums & also playback offers also come.....

All got advantages & disadvantages...

The better side of that all will make career safe if they have s & X factor....

Last year's vishal harish mukesh were not much popular & this year I think Yeshahree & ravi will be the only two I think wont be having a good career compared to others....

All otehr 11 will be having a very good career...Sagar in pepsi add...Panna & neha in soaps...Monali in soap & playback...All other TOP 6 alo will be get more offers too...

take for instance abhijeet sawant and rahul vaidya. latter was 3rd and in last 1 year i have seen more of rahul vaidya and prajakta on tv than any other indian idol contestant ofcourse amit tandon in a tv show. but sony is giving equal oppurtunity to abhijeet, rahul vaidya, prajakta and amit sana. all are cutting albums. all have sung for movies. all have equal fame.

similarly even though qazi-rooprekha won FG title. how long are they going to be in limelight? last i heard shamit-arijit-mona are going to cut an album for tips and tips is also going to use them as playback singers in their forthcoming movies.

so i think real talent doesn't need titles.

Good topic .. It matters and it doesn't .
Wining any title matters to both talented and lesser talented. For instance take the case of Abhijit /rahul vaidya or Qazi /Arijit ...Abhijit and Qazi are winners and they got instant fame and money.Their platform is set and they have to struggle less compare to others .Even if they dont make it big they are already famous and rich.In case of Rahul or Arijit its like still more struggle and even small mistake could stop them going up .But I am sure they will come up good because they have talent .So Winning title really matters to Lesser talented more ..for example singers like sandeep batra or arpita may not be that talented but if they could have won the title their career atleast would have some platform.

Not winning title doesn't matter to talented ones ...it might help them to reach on certain lever but even if they dont win they will come up good.Lot of peoples think that way too I mean they say anyway he/she is talented and he/she will make it big time so why not make other winner .One of my friend still voting for one singer in another contest because she thinks this is his only last chance .If he doesn't win this contest his career is finished .Well but who belive in best they vote for best so my last line is Vote For the Best 😊

Wah nice topic to discuss. I second this opinion. Rahul Vidya was more in demand even when the show was going on. He had advanced bookng , Now the very famous title song on " EK LADAKI ANJAANI SI"😊

These REALITY SHOWS only makes some " STARS " ,, these TITLE always live in a state of " VIRTUAL REALITY kind of fantasy

BUT most sensible contestant even if voted out early May Be UNLUCKY, IF VERY talented, will definetly find his/her niche .

Do u all know Naresh IYER that guy voted out from one Talent show as 20 th or so place.

Today he sang the song for RANGA DE BASANTHI with A.R.REHMAN
