Hello All,
I just wanted to personally request everyone who is in India and can vote to give Amey a chance! He is a very talented singer and it is aboslutely heart breaking to see him in the bottom three or "two" time and time again.
It is clearly evident that the public does not always vote for the best performance, there are a lot of other factors involved such as sympathy and contestant back grounds. But, regardless of those, VOTING SHOULD BE BASED ON THE BEST PERFORMANCES.
Amey has never received a negative comment from any of the judges but he just has not been able to strike the chord with the audience that Antara or Sandeep have.
During the last gala, yes, it may not have been the most amazing performance of his life, but not many people can dare to sing a song like Rang de Basanti and pull it off in such decent manner. Yes, it was not perfect but still it was DEFINITELY COMMENDABLE. Not every contestant has the courage to test him/herself during the finals of Indian Idol. This purely exhibits Amey's talent, capability and his confidence.
Antara and Sandeep are definitely very good singers, otherwise they would have never reached this far, at this point, basically everyone is worth praising but still some people have an edge based on other factors than just singing and performance.
Antara always performs good but on several ocassions, if not better than her, people have atleast performed as good as her, and yet slipped into the bottom three. Why hasnt this happened to her? I personally feel a lot of it has to do with the fact that the audience is very touched by the fact that she comes from a small village. ALso, during the last gala, fairly speaking Sandeep should have been the one to go based on his performance on that particular day, but obviously he was saved by the audience.
It seems like Amey may not be that great at appealing to the audience or the most emotional performer on the floor, and that is making him suffer. Although, talent wise he definitely deserves to be in the final two.
This is just my personalon opinion, ofcourse everybody has their own favorite and have the right to vote for whoever they wish. But, for those Amey fans who cannot vote, its a request from all of us, please SUPPORT HIM. HE IS ONE OF THE VERY BEST AND DEFINITELY HAS ALL THE RIGHT QUALITIES INCLUDING HIS PERSONALITY AND IMAGE IN ADDITION TO HIS WONDERFUL SINGING TO BE NEXT INDIAN IDOL.
