Let me start off by saying, I've been very disappointed with this years Theme's. After II1 was over, I was hoping they would do a Folk Night, even though they did "Desi Dhuns", I was upset that instead of a more ethinic, Indian sound, they remixed it.
Theme's they SHOULD have included from II1-
Non Film Music: Last year, this night had such amazing performances.
50's Songs: I know they did this already, but the clubbed THREE decades together? I mean that's just silly.
Disco Night: Almost EVERY country & EVERY season in the world has had this, they should have stuck to this.
R.D Burman Night: Agreed last year there were some...Not so good performances this night, but Aditi & Prajakta made up for the mess.
New Themes They Should Have Introduced For II2
Ghazal Night: Would have given us a break from all the Remixes they are shoving down our throats.
Yashraj Music Night: I know this is a bit odd, but this could have been a great night. Yashraj has produced some of the BIGGEST hits. The romantic melodies would have suited everyone's night.
Lata Mangeshkar/Asha Bhosle/Alka Yagnik/Kavita Krisnamurty Meets Kishore Kumar/Mohd.Rafi/Udit Narayan/Kumar Sanu: I mean any ONE pair of female & male singer. They did something like this German Idol 2, where the girls sang Madonna's songs & the guys did Elton John songs.
Hits From the 90's: We had some gems back in the day LOL.
From Across The Border: All hits from Pakistan!!!! They have SUCH AMAZING artists & their songs could have brought all types of music, Rock, Pop, Folk & Ghazals!
