PPL , go Easy on Ravi Tripathi....

Hello all,

There have been a lot posts here why ravi shouldnot be in the top 12, and not why he got selected over the others.. i m not going him to compare to anyone but i just wnat to write why i thnk we should give him another chance, and treat him equal and not with the hatred.

First his age, he is 29, way way above the reset of the group, some of them are as young as 17-18. At that age we dont know what failures are. He has run away from his home., leaving his Medicine seat(which is quite difficult to get in the first place) for his lvoe for music. most ppl do that but what makes ravi special, well he didnot get a chance till now to show case his talent. tell me this thing, all the singers like qazi, ravinder ravi , rex, (all three untrained and are quite famous so mentioned their names fans, dont get started on ,lets see the bigger picture) who dont sing as well as ravi (yes i can say that coz sometimes they go off track besura here there always) , are more famous than him, this is the only opputunity he got so he is hanging to it and want to make best of it.

Thankfully most of us here dont know what struggle is or what failure, i can bet most of us here are still in school , or just got in to jobs or married and are at home. lets see ravi, he is not soo young that he can wait indefinitly for a break, and he has tasted no success till now, and has some drawbacks in him like he is not as flamboyant as otheres, as extrovert or as glamourous, if had observed he doesnt make any sweet words, he is always in constant fear if u see his eyes, constant pain in his eyes.

Well i might have repeated a few points here and there but friends, ravi Tripathi is a guy , trained singer, not as flamboyant as others, he has seen defeats in his life(how do i know, well he hasnt got any big break), and the constant fear or age... so if u compare him with others, u cant, they never know what it means to wait for 8-10 yrs , all of them ve tasted instant fame, but ravi has waited waited waited, and he is scared tht this small thin ray of hope might be lost.

So guys, easy on him, give him a fair chance..... not coz i said so, just put yourself in his shoes, think a little and u will find hazaar reasons to like him beyond his singing.

Ravi Tripathi if u ever read this, i voted for your like hell last night and intend to do so in future also. just that my buddies here dont pounce on me here for writing all this, plz keep singing good better best in complete sur lay aur taal.

I think that he is a fine singer, though i dont think that he will go too far. 😕

I have nothing against Ravi being older than the others or his being shy. If he sings well, thats all that matters. However, I disagree that he sang very well during the gala. His performance at best was average. He did go off sur and there was no passion in his singing. I am sorry but his training in music has yet to shine through.
I would like to mention Panna here. He was least of my favs based on his singing in the piano rounds but he proved his worth at the gala. There was definite improvement in his singing. Ravi on the other hand is not showing any improvement or deterioration. He just continues his same style all the time and perhaps thats why people are getting irritated.

maka, thats good observation abt panna, yes the first audition i thought he was awesome but in the other selection rounds, he dindot impress much and in the piano roound i thought he was going home, but in the gala, i hear that he took a second chance to sing and record his song, so am having doubts abt his true caliber. Read the section where they wrote abt this CUT in middle of his recording.

As for ravi,yes i agree that he has to yet show more his true talent, being trained for 8 yrs i think he has more to offer as anu believes.

I do feel sorry for Ravi because he has struggled a lot to get where he is today: the II2 galas. I like and respect him as a person and he seems like the most genuine out of the 12, a person who truly loves sangeet. But is that the only reason Ravi should be in the galas? Singing and performance should count as well. Yes, its unfair that some people get instant fame w/o being as talented, but most of the other contestants are trained singers as well. They have struggled well. Amey was in Srgmp and is also trying to make a mark for himself in the music industry. I wasn't expecting him to go out today because some others were weaker, but his rendition of jiya dhadhak dhadak did not meet my expectations. The song didnt require him to sway, move a lot or dance...he had to sing it well and he didn't too that, my opinion. The song is not flashy, so few instruments are used, you have to sing it well...with such a song, perf or glamor isn't going to take you far to begin with.

v all don't have anything against him.but yes i also don't have any sympathy for him.d place he has got today shd have been sagar's .but yes its sagar's bad luck that his fans didn't vote for him 😭.but now when ravi's selected lets c whether he'll b able 2 compete wth amay,karunya,sandeep n not 2 forget panna (who is being voted just coz of his looks 😒 )

Yeh i think he should go to the next round....coz he does sing good and desserves to be der...

I don't know why people do not like Ravi. His singing is good. He lacks in performance department, I agree. But main thing is singing in sur. And he is good in that.

And I have also noticed that pain in his eyes. Feels like he is worried or has a pressure on his mind. Probably it is about not making it big in singing especially after going against parents wish of Medicine for him. Looks like this is his last chance to make a name for himself in singing. Next year he will be 30 and won't be able to participate in Indian Idol. So people please give him a chance and don't look at him like a reason for your favorite being out.
