my rating after watching video

only now i got the chance to watch the 1st gala. this is my rating from 1-10

panna: 9.5 (shocked me with his performance and singing)
ravi : 5 (unnecessary compliments by judges. he was just okay)
sagar: 7 (not as expected)
amey: 9 (v.good as expected)
sandeep: 6 (hmm..good)
karunya: 9 (v.good with the throat infection)

i am going to be sad whoever leaves. but my favs. still are karunya & amey.

guys, wake up...Panna was given a re-take and he sang a mid-octave song!!! 9.5???????? 😕

Amey fans- this is no offence to you, as I m one too. 😉 I thought Amey was wonderful yest.

But leaving that aside, Panna was good. He was far better than expected, sang and performed brilliantly. Yeah middle octaves are easier but the song has quite some variations if u notice. From his Dhadkan times, he has improved so much! I loved his perf. too.

I agree with your ratings. Even I liked Panna's performance (literally). If he sails through this gala then he truly deserves it.

tazlima, read the topics on Page 2,3,4...u'll find an article where it states tht Panna said 'cut' in the middle of his performance.....

Jhalak dikhlaja doesnt have any harkats n nor does it have a varied octave range, thts y I said it was relatively easy.

I admit tht Panna's performance was mind-blowing.He sang one of my fav. songs and comapred to the piano round, he was miles better.NO doubt tht he was the surprise package of the day.Its just the fact tht he got a 2nd chance tht put me off.But, since Connie has confirmed tht Karunya is not out, Im fine now.I was fearing tht Karunya might lose out on votes coz Panna sang well.
