Indian Idol 2 Update 9/01/06

welcome to Indian Idol Jalsa.

Today no competition is taking place. it's a Jalsa for pumping up the 12 Gala finalists.

Rahul Vaidya, Abhijit Sawant, Amit Sana, Aditi Paul and Prajakta Sukre sing " Hum Rahein ya na rahein kaal" at first.

then each one of them comes and sings a song for his/ her favourite contestant.

1. Aditi Paul: Her favourite is Sagar. she sings " baras ja aye badal " for him. then he is introduced once again fully for the audience.

2. Rahul Vaidya: He has come from Nagpur and his favourite is a girl from Nagpur, i.e. Yashashree. he thinks that it's a very noble aim of Yashashree to open up a music academy in Nagpur where the opportunity for young singers is very thin .he sings " tumse milke dil ka hai jo haal". then Yashashree is introduced fully.

3. Prajakta Sukre: Her favourite is Panna as he has got the X factor. she sings " Reshmi ujala hai makhmali andhera". Panna is introduced then.

4. Amit Sana: His favourite is Jolly. he sings " Saathiya" for her. Jolly asks his opinion about Anuji's disliking about her performance. Amit says that Anu ji says exactly what he feels and he does not pretend to be gentle falsely. but his comments actually help everybody in future and she will understand this in course of time. Jolly is introduced.

5. Abhijit Sawant: His male favourite is Sandeep. he sings " Ashique banaya" for him. then Sandeep is introduced. we discover his bad habit in this occasion, that is , saying " exactly" all the time.

His female favourite is Monali. he calls her cute. he sings" mar jawa mit jawa" for her. Monali is introduced then. obviously Ani , Minnie and Aman tease Monali about Abhijit. 😃

i thuought gala gonna start frm 2day but its not. its gonna start frm 16th jan.

Thanks for the lovely update rumi-this week so they will not show the gala round's-it was more of jashn and old idol's reviewing and singing for new contestant's-good -it must be exciting to watch them singing for their juniors.

i can't wait ... There are still 9 and a half more hours here in US before the show starts. thanx a lot rumi for the wonderful update tho

just saw... there wil b 2 gala rounds.. one of girls n other of boys and one wil b eliminated in each round n then frm 3rd week, top 10 will b performing.
