I agree with sumesh about antara.nihira sang the song on track.a song like yaire with a piano is dificult.the'overexpression' comes when you dont get the momentum and lift which comes with a track.sing a song like say..lekar hum diwana dil.with and without track-even the most experienced singer will not project the required energy.(Abha made a similar mistake)

people fight in srgmp forum over nihiras inclusion in the comp.they call it unfair(too experienced)

antara is new, bright and extremely talented .give her a chance.sonu did say she sings classical,western all with ease.he is my favouritest singer. 😛

i think ankita is rite n antara has 2 go a long way...she is vry new here...so we should not compare her wid nihira as she is in srgmp frm a long time

Well no one impressed me either. Antara- I had hopes from her as she had done a good job in theatre. But seriously she sopilt the song. She was too sharp, too fast I thought. Or maybe I had too high stnds?
Lekha, Jyotsna, Saberi.. were ordinary. A disappointing episode.

I have exactly the same sentiments nisha....it was a disappointing episode...I think they were TOO excited abt abhi bein there???!
the point is not abt who is more experienced...we guys follow the shws religiously....nto every1 in the public does...well as 4 nihiras experience....Im sorry to say but training just polishes ur singing...U CANT LEARN TO SING with training...I've got an mp3 of nihira's yairee n even with the background score's volume lowered she still sounds good...especially the way she ended the song..it was superb....
Im not crucifying antara...she was good she didnt make any technical mistakes (which is the MAIN CRITERIA)...I just fear tht she might lose out on votes coz ppl r bound 2 cmopare her 2 nihira (they dont care who's more experienced!!!) Anyway the good singers r being voted out!

I think better compare contestants with otehr contestants of II show...

Compare NEHA & ADITI PAUL sho sung teh same song Dekhle...I wonder hw she come to TOP 3....

Also Meenal with Arpita ...I thought Arpita sung ebtter that song even shankar liked that....

Anyways I think Nihira also has to participate in II so that get much popualrity & offers...I think II is a very good platform than SRGMP...All Top 11 last tiem boosted as much as possible...I think almost all were well settled nw & they got good career nw....

Zee's earleir reality show cinestar ki khoj...I dont have any info regarding the winners after more than 1 yr...Zee boost them when the show goes on while II is the platform where for 1 yr almost all got good offers & they can settle well within that time & if smart then can go further....There is 1 yr guarantee that no one come to TOP 28 will go to SRGMP anymore...

From Zee rahul arpita all tried in sony and promoted well...nw its amey nakesh shrikumar...many... Jolly das already participated in V channel's super singer couldnt make that time....I think no one noticed her that time....

Anyone who has to get popularity should have to go for II & SRGMP i think for Playback singing only...I wonder good singers liek HEMA not popularised as well as otehr contestants...all praised paresh & all...anyways happy that eh got max votes...

I haev too agree with u sumesh...in terms of promotion, SONy rocks (ofcourse with tarun katial being there wat else canu expect)....the boost tht sony gives is gr8....the kind of exposure Abhijeet, Amit n Rahul have got is gr8 for them....but then u have to realise tht in a country lik India u cant be ONLY a pop singer.....in USA its different....Even in one of abhijeet's interview he stated tht to survive IN THE LONG RUN u haev to be a good playback singer as well.....Every1 knows abt abhijeet Mohabbtein Lutaunga....but how many knw abt his movie songs??? In the next 3 yrs will any1 remember his pop albums...NO...he has to make it as a playback singer...
N thts where SRGMP scores higher...they produce the best playback singers...Sunidhi Chauhan, Shreya Ghoshal n Kunal Ganajwala r all SRGMP finds...n THEY r the ppl who r ruling the music industry nowadays...even Sonu Nigam got good exposure coz of SRGMP...
As 4 Nihira...NO WAY shd she try 4 II...coz Farah will NEVER Stop criticising her 4 closing her eyes...it'll be an insult 2 nihira's talent

In short: II-2 gives u a gr8 boost BUT then to survive in the long run u need playback singing...

I think tehy will get more offers soon...but they have 2 yr contract with SONY...After taht only tehy can change teher field i think...I donno much abt that...

In taht case SRGMP is betetr...also to hear good music too...
