Whoa! There will be two Galas this time. One today and another one on Monday (5th July). Some major changes taking place.
I have no idea whether this will effect the voting pattern but probably Shashi's elimination has rung an alarm bell among the Indian Idol Team. The voting period of today's Gala will be till 5th July and the results will be announced live on 6th July (Tuesday).

I can't decide if its a good thing or bad thing and how it will influence the voting pattern. I just hope that only the deserved wins...

Ya, even I am confused how this will effect the existing voting pattern. Perhaps the 'channel walas' want to make more money.

Okay... Lots of people are going to attack me... I like Tia a lot but reason for replying to this thread has nothing to do with TIA.

I think extended the deadline to a week is just wrong and rip off...

Think about it this way... How would the eliminated contestants feel about this? If I were them I would call this cheating.

All they are doing this now is to find another way to kick TIA out of the show. Another personal attack on her. I agree that Tia should have been eliminated before Shashi but this sort of personal attack of a contestant is not good. First it was the contestants, then judges (mainly) my favorite singer Sunidhi Chauhan. Now it is the producers of Indian Idol. You can't kill someone's confidence who didn't have too much to begin with. You can clearly see that she gets really scared on stage. I personally don't think it is an excuse but it just happens to her naturally. This is a sign of low/no confidence.

Only person your deserves to be respected in Indian Idol is Saleem Merchant. He is the only judge who gives out positive criticism. I like the way he told Tia in her last performance "You take audience with you now please take us with you also."

i don't get it how will extending a week get less votes for Tia?

I for one thinks whoever is getting high votes will get higher and whoever is getting low votes will get lower...in a way its not good.

Guys the reality is this--

Tia and Bhoomi are getting the maximum votes( they are never in bottom 3)

Now the producers feel for some weird reason Bhoomi is a better singer than Tia...though I would beg to differ..so they are promoting her a lot. Tia has a massive fan base, youth and those below 26 who are voting massively fro her. On Facebook she has so many friends one can't add her. So they will all vote more and more for her.
its a money making game and I feel top 3 in votes currently are Sreeram, Bhoomi and Tia, but Tia is getting maximum votes, so producers are scared and trying out new tactics.
