Yeah I think 'Piya Basanti' was from the same album as 'Leja Leja' - the album was 'The Ustad and the Divas' I think. The 'Divas' were Shreya Ghoshal, Chitra, Sunidhi Chauhan. I've heard Sunidhi's songs in the album and they are nice, but not as catchy as Leja or Piya.

Yeah I know what you mean - he's actually more of a sarangi player and often accompanies Zakir Hussain.

But Chitra was part of Ustad & the Divas too - she sang 'Rangeela Rut' and 'Haniya Re', I haven't heard these songs though...

His singing is very nice to hear. (Btw the video can't play because its disabled from embedding, Xo)!

Its just that his voice kinda didn't fit this song. At first I was like what the heck? 😆

What a beautiful track. Amazing. There is something about the singing of Shreya here, that touches my heart every time I listen to it. She stresses each and every word so beautifully. Innocence with romance is blended with a great balance. A really nice performance. Loved it.

My score for this performance will be 9 out of 10.

Never heard of this song.
Great start, lots of variations throughout the song, and just fantastic singing throughout! I liked her high pitches throughout the song, some of the classical touches she put throughout, the great expressions she had throughout, everything was great .


My favorite parts were really where she prolonged the lyrics and went to a high pitch. I think that was very well done. Besides for that, it was flawless singing by Shreya Ghoshal, with a top class Voice quality. The only thing I felt, like others, it could've been more difficult. Also, she didn't bring magic into the song like she usually does. But I'd give this like a 9.5.

Loved shreyas sweet & magical voice. She is truly awesome! No doubt her voice has the ability to capture all young hearts. Fantastic singing, 10 from me.
