You guys won't believe how many countless times I have heard this song. Any guesses as to why? You all should be able to guess by now as to why I've been hearing this song way too often! 😆 Really not to hard to guess!!!

Anyways this is such a beautiful piece. What wonderful lyrics and cinematography and picturization on the song! Ok ok I won't talk about the movie aspect of the song. We are hear to judge the singing! Hehe.

What a masterpiece by Mahalaxmi ji and Sonu ji. Every note was on tune and hit perfectly. Emphasis was made on words that needed them. Emotions, feelings, everything was there by both singers. Now getting specifically to Mahalaxmi ji, she was really a pleause to listen to. The grace and elegance she put into the song was astounding. The put so much soul to the song. The song requires a sweet calm voice which she indeed had. I don't think any other singer could have sung it as well as her.

I especially loved the way she sung "chup chup ke chori se chori...". It was so beautifully and perfectly executed. This is def one of her best performances till date. I can't give her anything below a 9, and for those that do all I can say is that's just "wow" factor! Not attacking anyone's juding abilities. But truly this song was a masterpiece. I would give it a 10, but I think there could have been a bit more in the song and there is always room for perfection!

So Final Rating: 9

A very nice song, one of my favourites :)

This song has both romantic parts and happy-jumpy parts to it. The minute Mahalaxmi starts with "Dekhnaaa.." she gives goose-bumps. This song is a proof of the beautiful voice quality of Mahalaxmi's voice. The way she twists and turns her voice with the flow creates magic. Somewhere in the lower notes, I found lack of clarity of words. These portions could have been improved. Throw could have been better. Overall, a great performance, Mahalaxmi is back with a bang!

Was a pleasure listening to this beautiful song once again. Would like to give a 9 out of 10.

Great singing once again by Mahalxmi Iyer!

Not much time, but here I go quick
One of the best singers of our present times. She's already sung some gems in this contest, this is another one of them. Her voice quality was fine and pure as usual. She sang flawless, but this song wasn't really that difficult either. Nonetheless, great singing, very pure.

Love this song - the minimal beats, the sitar intro, the melody, the lyrics and the singing! Unfortunately the fuzzy mp3 track doesn't do full justice to the composition.

The tune is very difficult. And requires long standing notes, as well as what are called 'jumping' notes in Bollywood, and finishing notes too. The 'chup chup ke chori chori se chori' refrain is not easy pull off. But to do that with so much confidence and clarity AND add small nuances here and there is a real achievement. In fact, I'd say she overshadowed Sonu with her voice control and texture. He despite being a great singer was unable to take various harkats and finishing notes in a polished way like her...

I loved they way both sang their lines beginning 'Tum kaho toh ruke, tum kaho toh chale...' The singing here is so detailed and skilful! And that's just one line.

However the competition is tough this round. And Sadhanaji was amazing. With singers like Kavitaji and Sadhanaji, the standard of the competition has been raised. And if I gave Sadhanaji a 9, Mahalaxmi deserves an 8 for this song.

Also, a round of applause for Shankar Ehsaan Loy for the composing the two best songs of this round: 'Kuch Na Kaho' and 'Chup Chup Ke'.

👏 S E L 👏
