Thanks brahmabul for this beautiful song. Do you understand these lyrics? I hope you do. My boys were born here in Toronto and they can understand all these folk songs with our help.

Although I was born and raised in Dehra Dun but had opportunities to spend time in Punjab and I love that part of India.

Gurdas Mann is one of my favourite singers. When most of other singers were singing vulgar songs, he came up with some decent lyrics and folk songs. Credit goes to him for giving new direction to Punjabi music. I must also mention our musical groups from London England e.g. Anari, Heera, Bhujangi. Aalap, Premi, Safri boys plus Malkiat Singh, Channi, Mangal Singh, Sardara Singh, Johal & Jassi Premi etc. for their contribution to punjabi music. Hats off to them.

Of course paaji, I fully understand the lyrics. I am born and brought up in Punjab. This song always makes me emotional. That's the power Mann paaji's voice.

This is seriously heartening to know that your boys understand these songs. Mainu bahut hi zyada changa lagda hain jado bahar de mulk vich rehen vaale Indians apni roots nu nahin bhulde.

Dehradun is a beautiful place. I have been there once. Not too often though.

Tussi taan bahut emotional karta mainu aj. Here is one more song.
