Note:

Not much explanation here needed either, obviously a fun/playful song.

Never heard of this song, though good singing by Mahalaxmi.

This song was a good find. Not because it was a good song. But its a song that wasn't that big of a hit, but still some fabulous singing by Mahalaxmi done in this song. One of the best I've heard from her. Right from the opening lines, there isn't much room for breathing, high notes and low notes in there, and good emotion. And obviously great voice quality.

And then the 2nd time she starts singing, great high pitches! And just the whole 2nd time she sings, very well done throughout. And then some classical sequences also looks like was sung by her. Just great overall performance from her. And then in the ending, great "acting", you could almost see Aish in this song.

So overall, great singing, I'd put this on par with her singing in "Bol Na Halke Halke", so I'll give same score. Though I liked her singing in this song a little more, it was more difficult, it required a lot of different types of singing from her. Like I said, one of the best I've heard from Mahalaxmi.

WOW! Ek se badhkar ek singing ho rahi hai iss round mein...

Thanks to risingabove for reminding us of this forgotten treasure of a song! The great thing is that Maha did not get bogged down by the daunting tempo and meter - rather, her expression and pitching was spot on, whilst her breathing was skilfully hidden.

I agree and disagree with ssk. I agree that her 'acting' was superb and even I could hear Ash right at the end (but maybe that's coz I'm an Ash-deewana!). But I disagree that this was better than Bol Na Halke Halke, which was sung with even more feel - something for which there was less scope in the song. I also did not feel she sang the tarana (not 'classical sequence' 😡) - i thought that was just a female chorus.

Anyway, the point is that she gets a 9/10 from me!

I thought I heard her voice singing leading the chorus. You know sometimes you can hear a chorus, but you still hear the main singer leading it. I don't know how MDs do that, but thats what they do. Know what I'm talking about?

Also, though I agree Bol Na Halke Halke had more feel, this song had much more scope, besides just soft singing. This had fast pace, slow pace, and just more overall scope, which she did well in all areas. Better high and low pitches as well.

Yeah I know what you mean about the chorus.

Bol Na Halke Halke had a lot of scope too, come on! High notes, a few sargams, more holding notes etc.

Bol Na Halke Halke was a serious slow song the whole way with no particular very high notes (like she does in this song at the beginning of her 2nd sequence), and this song is fast and playful, and then slow and serious at other times. Much more scope.

It's close though. I just prefer her singing in this song more. I bet if I liked this song and heard it before I would've gave her a 10 instead of a 9. 😃 Her singing was great.

A beautiful piece sung so well by Mahalaxmi ji. She was so close to being flawless in the song. I only felt that in the portions where there was almost no room to breathe, I felt she lacked a little bit there. But that is just a very minor flaw. She sung the song with so much ease. It was easy to connect with her. She had the right feel to the song. The difficulty level of this song is high in the sense that some parts of this song reallly tests your breath control. Some portions in this song gives you almost no room to breathe. But the way Mahalaxmi ji sung it was so beautiful!

Not only this track but its video is one of my favourite..

This song, immediately made me sing along with it..I just love the way it goes so speedily yet retains a grasp on the melody. The singing is pleasantly controlled; Mahalaxmi's voice quality is perfect for this song.

Not only does she has to sing fast, but also has to retain softness in her throw. She does that remarkably well. There was not much scope to show versatility here though. Shankar Mahadevan did a really good job, the chemistry was good.

The expressions are captured well. But unfortunately, the fast speed of the song makes less space for the singer to portray the apt emotion here. Still the singer has tried really well. For example the way she says, "Daikhiye Main Keh Rahi Hoon..", is absolutely the correct expression required for the situation.

Concluding my evaluation, I would like to give this song a 9 out of 10.
