Hate the singing, not the singer !!!

Well, the famous quote ''Hate the acting, not the Actor'' I dont know who said it but same applies here.

Common guys, I think most of us agree that we are looking for a singer here, Not Mr or Ms.Congeniality ..

So, I guess most of you here has found a common dislike for YashRaj, Tia , a few for Asit and Laksh too. and also what some people are referring to as ''Recycled Contestants''

THEY ARE HERE COZ THEY DESERVE TO BE HERE. AND FATE HAS GIVEN THEM ANOTHER CHANCE TO MAKE SOMETHING OF THEIR TALENT.

If you hate someone's singing, fair enough dont like him. But most of the dislike is rooting from, for e.g. Tia - for her constant crying ( which i agree gets annoying )and becuase the channel is giving her attention. Lets remember she cannot make the channel give her attention. They are giving it to her becuase they think she's something.

The same with Yashraj, Ive heard plenty of ''he's arrogant, and over confident, he's won other contest, he had a fight with a girl, his dad begged for him'' .. next thing you know, they'll be 'i dont like him because i dont like the colour of his shoes' ... I hvn't met a single one here who said, he sings like crap thats why I dont like him. Which if anybody said, we would all accept with great spirit because if you dont like his singing, you dont like his singing. End of..

Because this is a singing show, lets all judge them by their singing. Not by some fight they've involved in or because a certain judge favours them or because they dress well.

lets all be mature about this. and

Evev I think Yashraj is bit arrogant but no question about his singing though. He sings really well. I am sure he will make it to Top 12 especially now when judges have more power with them.

The only thing that keeps bothering me is that what if Yashraj's father won't have come on auditions that day?? Perhaps Indian Idol was his destiny.

I parlty agree with the originator of this thread. Hate is strong word and I beleive no one hate any show contestants. Its better to say dislike. I agree that singing should be main criteria when you judge someone in this show. However you cant deny the fac that this is a reality show and people cant connect with the one who does not present other aspect of the nature like behaviour, right attitude, humbleness etc. Abhijeet is the popular not for singing only but also for his humbleness. Everybody know that Rahul Vaidhya is dam good singer but he is always critisized for his antics. So other factors are also part of the package along with singing for the contestants. There are things which you can tolerate and things which you cant. It depends upon the person to person. I dont care much about Tia's rona dhona . She is emotional and its not easy to control emotion when you are in such a huge platfrom. Regarding Yash Raj, despite being good singer he has tonnes of arrogance and is full of himself. When you are in the national show its hard to ignore such attitude. You must have good attitude along with singing to win the people's heart. Aneek, Abhijeet, Raja are known for their singing capabilty as well as their down to Earth nature. Thats why they are more popular .

I have no problem with Yash Raj Kapil and if even he is arrogant (which i don't think he is) i have no problem w/it b/c his brilliant singing covers that up. We as a voter are here to give them votes based on their singing not on their personality. I agree personality does have an impact but it shldn't be considered as a major factor or only a factor while giving votes. So I like yash raj Kapil b/c he is a damn good singer and since II is all abt singing I hope he makes it far =]

I acutally have no complains what so ever to you or anyone who will put their point of view the way you did. You did it witout any bashing or prejudice which i really appreciate.

I am glad he apologised last nite if he came across as proud but I guess most impressions have been made already. But you never know, he mite blow all the dislikers away with his singing one day.. (a girl can dream)
