Shilpa has a beautiful voice, I must say. This song and Khuda Jane are my favorites. She had a lot of feel to this song and sung it with such ease. I really could feel the character through her singing. She brought a lot of justice to the situation in the movie by Vidya. There were places, however, that she could have used improvement on. Variation was good in the song. Some parts of the song I couldn't connect with (the places where she wasn't really singing)! But then there were some parts that I could realllly connect with her voice.

So on an overall evaluation, I'd give her a 7.5, but because I don't think her singing deserves the 8, I'm going to have to round down to give her a 7!

Good singing by Shilpa Rao!

She did a good job throughout. She has a nice smooth and soft voice, which suits songs like this rather than the one she had in Round 1. So I think she did a good job here.

Overall though, I don't think the song and her singing had much variation. She was basically saying the same line all over and over. Nonetheless, I think the parts she sang were pretty good, and good enough for a good rating. I would give this a 6.5, but I'll just round up.

Wow this is the first song Im listening in this round and loved it

Also kind of like the tongue twister thingy, mudhi, udi, gadi gadi.. etc

Loved the song, the orchestra, its rendition, and the soft romantic feel it has created

soft, smooth, light and very well sung

I really like her breadth control , crisp, and brilliant transition, especially when she finsihes the lines from little higher note gadi gadi ..... judi ithifaq se

want to give her a 8, will listen one more time and get back to this

Her voice was better this time around, but her efforts of a silky and smooth voice were not somewhat gone to waste....what I mean is that she had a nasal twang at the end of some of the lines, which showed that she wanted to convey the seductive mood of the song, but for me, she failed to do so. Her singing was strictly fine, her range was good, she handled the ups and downs pretty darn well. But there was feeling and emotion lack in this; and the digitally masterede voice didn;t help either. I give her a 7!

Lovely song and love the way she sang it ...subtly , softly ..., voice range is good....very well sung ...could have been better ..nonetheless a very nice try...she has a playback voice ..really brings out the emotion very well...

only problem i found is her voice sounded monotonous ...could be due to the melody which seemed repetetious...

She gets a .....................7 from me ....

Shilpa has done superb justice to this track. Its not easy to sing as it seemed to listen. Control of breath while singing in one scale and pitching of voice one down from her usual is the crux to getting the track right. Illayaraja's music is also refreshing to the listener and overall, her voice is perfectly suited and most importantly, the balance and accuracy which she maintained is commendable.

9/10 from my side.
