He then changed tack and contested the weak Super Singer Season 4 (Star Jalsha, Bengali) - and won it.
His presence shows that the average standard is not going to be very high this year.

That's what I was thinking. Mostly there are 1-2 contestants from the initial 4-5 promos who give winner/finalists vibe but this that didn't happen, at least for me. I hope these 4 are not their best this season.

Showcasing Mishmi and Subhojit is rather terrible from a prospects point of view.
I hope they retain Debanjana at least - last season they eliminated Nahid before the final rounds. So anything is possible.
