In my opinion judges also very well aware of Nihal's ability. They are purposefully suppressing him with some random songs. Representative from his state can only help if they are genuinely not interested in him but here it was intentional. They will do anything to make sure PD wins.

That's great news. I had a bit of doubt because of those promos. So they trolled audience.

Anyway happy for all 6. Only thing is I hope they don't show discrimination against anyone in final. Atleast let it be a fair battle with equal screen space and better songs. Else 12hr finale is not worth of anything.

Regional participants have a poor chance of moving forward or even winning, they did the same with Nachiket and Soumya both regional show winners but never participated in a Hindi show, the same treatment meted out to Sireesha and Nihal not winners but outstanding . Sad....

A lot of past winners had no exposure to Hindi shows prior to Idol. I think only Salman, Vipul and Sandeep had some India exposure. But I could be wrong.

I have n't seen the other seasons the only season watched is 10, Salman was judged by Javed Ali and Ms Alka Yagnik in lil champs Anu Malik had even appeared as a guest judge, Ankush was a new face NitinKumar was with Salman in the same season 2nd runner up, Neelanjana participant in voice, Vibhor has some inner connections, he is invited again this year to represent 10, Neelanjana ia also in the good books of coach Neeraj Kelkar, why is Soumya never seen or even the others ?

Nihal sings so nicely. He outshines everyone. That's why they never tell too good things about him. They want their pawnu to get all the limelight. Inspite of that nihal shines. They can't digest the fact. That is the reason they give some old songs. Yesterday he sang kk old song where as others got new one. How disgusting

Though I hold grouse against Sony for sidelining SMP, but feel it is unfair to attribute bias against regional contestants by Sony

There have been significant winners from NE(Saurabhee), Andhra Pradesh(Sreeram, Revanth), Karnataka(Anjana) and Odisha(Ananya) in the past.

Isn't also true that a Maharashtrian girl Sayli is being given maximum exposure amongst all in this season?
