Yes. II12 creatives spend more time on OTT drama than bringing out talent from contestants. One of the most misused is SMP. In order to project her pop star they completely ignored she is talented in multiple genres as well as instruments. The only full classical they gave her is Bhare Naina on Father's Day. She could do wonders if they went for theme based as you mentioned in previous post considering she has strong base in both in western and classical. But they are keeping this singers either for love songs or dance numbers of Bollywood old years. Not sure when they come out of it and think big.

Pawandeep you know why he is shown as the only one who is master. Even when Arunitha plays harmonium the credit goes PWD. Her poor father's efforts in teaching her harmonium is gone for toss. Credit goes to news channels and creatives for downplaying other contestants to hype one.

Idol is trying to fit contestants into a genre..Don't know the reason..maybe they realize this is how the music Industry works..like every singer, every composer has a unique style. Not that they aren't versatile, but that style is their identity..like we can identify ARR, Ismail durbar, R D Burman, O P nayyar, Himesh, Shankar Ehsan Loy music from their unique style..same with Shreya-Sunidhi, Lata-Asha, Usha Uthup, Geeta dutt, Rafi-Kishor-Mukesh, Hemantkumar and so many more.

This way there is space for all in the industry and people recognize them. We as viewers want to enjoy all kind of music but makers may be thinking ahead in terms of future...kya pata.

Arunita said she can sing all types of songs, Ashish also we have seen..lekin yahan sabka apna type hai..Aru sings soft melodies, Sayli light , fast paced..etc.

We can keep on demanding variety..makers may listen

Idol thinks the audience is a fool, anyone can play the harmonium without training , blind people are best at it self taught musicians.

CM of Uttarakhand has tweeted for PWD and even met him when political forces join hands with contestants over a singing show the results are anything but fair.

Idol is a fraud show there is everything from fashion, drama , soap opera style love stories with a sprinkle of songs, best to remain away from such garbage if possible.
