Sony's Super Dancer Chapter 3 had Jaya with Jeetendra and it had a lot of songs. I have also seen Jaya (as guest) shows with songs only from her films. So I don't buy that line, especially as Sony has no problems making contestants sing vague unknown songs when it suits them.
Anyway, I just wanted to know the Jaya connection. Many contestants have sang out of syllabus songs in this chapter of Idol (unlike previous years), so it is old hat. I just wish they dole out the same favour to all contestants and let them sing what they do best without reference to the guest/theme. At this time it feels that some are workhorses for the show while others are protected.

Latest episode is Ramayan based episode. Sita Mata was tortured from birth to death. What is summary of Ramayan. What is respect of Maa. A washerman could not respect maa in that era (satyug).

Ok. I didn't know Jayaprada had those many songs. I agree with you on songs. Either they just give everyone same freedom to sing what ever suits them else let everyone stick to same rule. Anyway now what channel is thinking/doing is beyond my imagination. After this episode anyway no shoots atleast creatives think properly and bring fairness across all contestants.

Only Balmiki muni could support Maa Sita in the days of sorrow but how much support? Jagat Janani had to do all general labor job and had to give respect to all seniors.

Let's not be blind. The real reason is not lack of songs - just lack of songs that he can sing. Last season they made Sunny sing numbers he was uncomfortable with. Salman was challenged with slow numbers in Idol 10. They won despite the niggles.
This season is another thing. The makers are just TRP hungry - they don't care about the ethics of a competition.
Anyway, I wish Sawai good luck and pray that he can continue. He comes across as a simple person with some great skills. If anyone needs protection, then I guess he should be the guy! It is the channel that I am upset about not the contestant. All of them are wonderful.

I agree. Just out of curiosity you seem to be following reality shows quite well and have more knowledge, what could be logic behind channel wanted to keep asking contestants to sing in same genre. Not only Sawai they did same with all contestants. To be very frank they never challenged any one in this season. Everyone is branded in some genre. I know partly TRP but until and unless they give songs how will they come to know whether they can sing in that genre or not?

Thanks. I honestly don't know. It is perhaps due to the times we are passing through. Everything is difficult to achieve now and shortcuts are, perhaps, necessary. Also these things start from the very beginning. This year most contestants are either invited or well known because scouting could not be done. Some are coaxed with incentives to participate in Covid times. When you canvas for contestants you may have to strike deals with them or be over protective, especially as the Content Team has worked in the past with some. If you see Sahil Solanki's video - you know he was canvassed. The rot starts from here this year I think. Plus being closed to the press - they are beyond criticism. In earlier years press would attend and write what they thought about performances - this year they get media feed.
Anyway, I could go on. But you get the drift I hope.
