The way they tried to push Sumaan to admit a romance between them went a tad overboard given that they asked Sumaan the first time and Sumaan denied but Sitara(in the guise of Arjun) still continued to pursue it the week after and subsequently since.

I mean even the only clip I saw of last Sunday's show had Arjun asking if KDice were "good friends and good friends in the same vein as Sumaan/ Arylie were "good friends".

I'm sure if the leads of Sitara's other shows were not married to other people Arjun(read Sitara) would have tried to infer a relationship from watching their perceived closeness too.

Okay I have some thoughts about this.

I don't think it is sitara per say that wants to show this. Had it been, I think their focus would have been largely on Abhira (Harsh and Pranali) and ShiVi (KDice). With KDice they had already officially announced this and there was a lot of scope to capitalise it. However, I think this is more of Arjun being a clever host. He quickly identified who has potential and made an effort to highlight it... I think the further pushing of offscreen romance did come from sitara once they realised that it is generating excitement.

Now don't get me wrong, I am not implying that sitara has given free reign to Arjun as the host. But I don't think sitara went into this with the agenda of potential offscreen romance.

Bold 2: Like I said if that was the agenda, Abhira was wide open for them. So were Pravishth and Ulka. But this offscreen thing wasn't forced upon them as much as it was on SuMaan. Arjun was quick to recognise and Sitara was quick to pressurise for this to continue.

I agree. SuMaan are engaging effortlessly. Their closeness can be perceived otherwise too. Sitara being the kameena that it is, is like no harm no foul, hawa de rahe hain. Arjun is a wonderful host. He identified their potential, wanted to make the show engaging and Sitara is capitalising on their craze.

So maybe the lack of SuMaan is either because Gul wanted them to shoot for the show or is trying to undermine their craze. But why would Sitara agree to it is something I'm not able to figure out 🤔

One being I thought it could be because Arjun is privy to some behind the scene information that we as viewers don't know.

Arjun and Harshad have been in the industry for a long time and probably know each other very well.

They would no doubt have met at industry bashes, gatherings with mutual industry friends, etc.

If Arjun is in the know about who Harshad or even Pranali is dating off-screen he wouldn't wanna put them in an awkward situation with their partners by insinuating a relationship between them.

Sumaan on the other hand have both proclaimed they are very single so can be regarded as fair game.

Also if you remember just before the launch of RWSP Harshad and Pranali did a live where they vehemently denied the idea of a romance between them.

A good host like Arjun would probably have seen that and known better than to pursue anything along that line with them.

I do acknowledge that the level of affection, closeness and comfort between Sumaan lends itself to speculating there is something more between them.

How touchy-feely they are with each other is clearly evident for all to see and Sitara camera staff, directors etc would have noted that since they would have had cameras aimed at them all the time throughout the recording of a show.

If you think about it when Arjun asked them if their onscreen feelings had spilled off-screen Sitara already had evidence to back such an assertion and it's not too far- fetched to think they were the ones who gave Arjun a heads up.

Arjun could have probably just grabbed the bull by the horns and rode it very well like a good host should.

As for Ulka and Pravishth: that level of comfort, closeness and affection between Sumaan is not replicated between Ulka and Pravishth.

Let's not forget that their show had also just launched when RWSP launched so Ulka and Pravishth probably hadn't had enough of an opportunity to build the kind of rapport Sumaan or even any other close couple have.

Even up to now any closeness they try to portray looks more reel than real, unlike Sumaan whose reel closeness even looks real.

Until the episode of their wedding special the cast of Banni had also only been on RWSP 2 times including the launch episode where all Sitara shows appeared.

Even then they were hardly visible in that first episode.

With that in mind it would be understandable if they had not yet had an opportunity to establish a rapport with Arjun that could have lent itself to being teased by him as an off-screen couple.

Don't think there's any hidden agenda apart from selling the show like "look star parivaar is one big giant family" kinda thing.

And SuMaan probably agreed to harmless shipping, given they have the most chemistry out of all couples on ITV rn

I forgot to respond about KDice and with them I think that Arjun didn't necessary go with them because their relationship was already an open secret. It's difficult to aim for a love confession for show leads when everyone already knows about them.

Their relationship became public knowledge way back when Alice had Covid which although I can't remember exactly when I know that that was ages ago.

I think they were only 'outed' in the latest episode because Sumaan were not there and a substitute for the kind of off-screen romance teasing Arjun had been doing had to be found and KDice were it.
