CHAPTER - 03:
The venue was decorated with class; flowers were arranged and chandelier made the decorations more grandiose. It was the first party to be hosted by the son of the house Aryan Singh Rathore who left no stones unturned to reflect their class. He not only had the pressure of establish the name with this party but also introduce the Rathores as a Billionaire now to the elite circle, a circle high and aloof.
"Mrs. Chaturvedi I heard your daughter arrived yesterday"
"Yes, Imlie came back after completing her studies. Now my daughter is an engineer"
"You must be proud of her"
"I am...Oh! Dev you greeted the Rathores?" asked Anu as she saw her husband joining them.
The couple talking with Anu was taken aback a little because of Dev's intimidating face.
"Not yet, they haven't entered the venue to start the party" said Dev joining Anu.
"Oh, Mr. Chaturvedi since both of your daughters are here now. Why not find good grooms for them?"
"Mr. Arora..." Dev called the man who said about his daughters marriage with a cold voice.
"Yes, Mr. Chaturvedi"
"They are adults. They can decide for themselves"
"But, parents should decide for their kids" said Mr. Arora.
"I understand you have a son to fix in but I have made sure to teach my kids to be independent. Your son might not be capable but my daughters are capable enough to think about our family and themselves"
Hearing this Mr. Arora left with his wife to talk with other people. They were pissed off with the confidence of Mr. Chaturvedi but couldn't talk back as there are only four families who are actually Billionaires, the Chaturvedis being the oldest to hit the list of being a billionaire. Later joined by the Tripathi's, Oberois and now the Rathores joined the league.
Imlie and Malini entered the party room together. Malini was wearing a Blackish red gown with bold red lipstick. Red is a colour which not only attracts people but also repels them. The intentions of Malini were clear, the marriage eligible sons of the families visiting will crave for her but their mothers will immediately disapprove as no one wants a bold girl married in their houses. She will make the men sway but the families would repel her as a marriage material. Imlie on the other hand went for a black lacy gown with a single high slit till her thigh. She made a loose bun with her side partitioned hair and wore long earrings. Both the sisters wore stilletos as it was a symbol of being mighty and had the characteristics of trampling over others. In elite parties kitten heels are for married ladies, platform heels are considered that the ladies already have people they like and don't want to get bothered, pumps are for available girls who can be pursued for marriage and love but stilletos, those are the symbols of power. Not everyone could carry it and many avoids with the fear to be called drunk in power. But the Chaturvedi sisters decided to be the one to stand as someone whom no one should approach how much they are attracted towards them. They are out of the reach of any men attending this party.
Malini handed over a glass of Champagne to Imlie.
"Look at those roaches stealing glances " whispered Imlie.
"Men are attracted and girls are jealous. Rhea messaged me that some girls are calling us witches and gossiping about us"
"These insects are letting their mouth go wild"
"Don't worry they don't know how their families will repay for their mouth"
"Add me in for the fun, I will join office next week"
"I think I will let you start your dream"
"You want to invest?"
"Yes.."
"Glad to hear it di..."
"Oh look your toy is coming down the stairs"
First Narmada entered with her sister-in-law Neela. Next came in Arpita with her soon to be husband Sundar, who was the second son of the Chaurasia family which have their own steel company. Third entered the main host of the party Aryan Singh Rathore, escorting his childhood friend Preeta.
Imlie froze as she saw Aryan holding Preeta's hands.
"Di, who is that girl?" asked Imlie.
"I heard she is his childhood friend...her name is Preeta. She just entered the circle of the rich girls and already successfully made friendships with different children of different households. Imlie dad is calling me, I will join you later" said Malini and left to chat with Dev.
Imlie looked at the couple coming down.
'Jealous....I am so jealous. Stay away from that body, it's mine... Those intoxicating eyes should only look at me with desires. Ary don't smile at someone else... I want to pluck out her eyes the way she is looking at you'
"Oh my goodness" Preeta exclaimed coming down the stairs.
"What's wrong?" asked Aryan.
"That girl looking at me standing near the bar area" said Preeta.
Aryan looked up and immediately focused on the stairs.
It was none other than Master, his Master who taught him pleasure and ecstasy but ruined him to not be able to live a normal life.
'She is here, under my roof. I want to strangle her so bad,' thought Aryan with hatred.
"Hmmm so what's wrong with her looking at you?" asked Aryan to Preeta.
"What's wrong you say Aryan? Every thing is wrong. I still haven't met her yet and she is looking at me with such hostility. Wait! Why are your eyes on the floor?" asked Preeta.
With the mention of the floor a piece of memory flashed through his mind.
"Ary"
"Yes Master"
"Do not look up and meet my eyes. Look at the floor"
"Yes Master"
"Do you see my right foot?" asked Imlie forwarding her foot.
"Yes Master"
"Kiss... Kiss my feet"
Aryan was shaken for a second but he bent and kissed her feet.
"That's your right place my dear pet" exclaimed Imlie.
Aryan was shaken from inside as the memories passed through his mind. He was trembling in anger and disgust.
"Aryan, is she the one?" asked Preeta.
"Yes ..." He replied.
"So you found the lady at last with whom you are obsessed from last two years"
"Seems like that"
"Then I must keep an eye on her... After all you really wanted to meet her" said Preeta and left to stand near Narmada and Neela.
Preeta knew her childhood friend was trying to find a girl from last two years but she thought it was out of love. She misunderstood that when he was kidnapped she brought light in his life and that's why he was obsessed with her when the reality was absolutely the opposite.
He took the mic and welcomed every one at the party for the Celebration that Rathore Empire is now an Unicorn. Imlie stood at the bar and scrutinized him from top to bottom. He was looking ravishing, a lot bigger and muscular than before. His size was always good but now his upper body has started to justify the size of his below part. She played different images in her head that she wants to do with his current body.
As he made his way to his mother who was talking with her family she also made her way. He tried not to look at her once because he doesn't know what he would want to do with her but she kept on looking at him. He couldn't control himself and decided to talk with other guests but Imlie went to stand with her family.
After a few chats Preeta ran to Aryan.
"Don't run in heels" he advised.
"Tomorrow you are invited" said Preeta huffing.
"Where?"
"The Chaturvedis will worship Devi Sherawali tomorrow at the temple of the cliff as their daughter returned and they invited us"
"Will the second daughter go?"
"The Puja is for her why won't she go?"
"A Devil setting her feet in temple. What a joke?" Murmured Aryan.
"Hey what are you saying?" asked Preeta.
"Nothing... let's cheer the Chaturvedis tomorrow doing some good work. We will go to the temple"
"Ahaaa! You don't want to miss her... Why am I feeling chills down my spine?"
"I guess I know the reason" replied Aryan and looked at Imlie who was looking at Preeta with hatred and contempt.
She gasped as her eyes met Aryan's and she made her way to the balcony to get some fresh air.
"Preeta I have to go somewhere"
"Okay"
Aryan ran towards the balcony and saw the back of the girl who made him a puppet for four years. She stood with her hair open looking at the moon shining brightly.
"This area is off limits" said Aryan closing the door behind him.
Imlie stayed silent. He came near her and turned her around.
"Didn't you hear what I said?"
"Am I bound to hear from a host who didn't use his brain and kept a place where the guests could take a break and have some fresh air? That's why not everyone can be a part of elite society especially a noob who was away for four years" said Imlie
Her voice was cold and controlled.
A pain went through Aryan's heart. She was the one who took away his four years and now mocking him for not being able to grasp much of the rich elite circle. His fingers trembled and his hold of her arms got loose.
Understanding that the grip has loosened Imlie said, "You seems to have a soft heart Mr. Rathore"
His breathings got uneven as he kept on looking at the floor instead of her eyes.
"You... what's your name?" Asked Aryan as he was out of breath. The girl who tortured him and then vanished was right in front of him.
"Imlie Chaturvedi" said Imlie and sat on the balcony railings.
"You will be surprised to know this, I hate you Miss Imlie"
'So though he doesn't remember the memories he hates me? Does his feelings of hatred towards me that strong that it overcame the medications and hypnosis?' thought Imlie.
"You hate me?" Asked Imlie.
"Yes..." Aryan almost screamed.
"Okay then you will be pleased if I do this" said Imlie and let her body fall by her back.
Aryan was dumbfounded by her action but he caught her hand in reflex and pulled her towards him. As he pulled, her body came forward and she stood on her legs.
"Are you crazy?" Asked Aryan.
"No" replied Imlie calmly.
"Damn you are a Devil. You were about to fall and break some bones but your heartbeat is absolutely normal. Here my heart is on wild rampage"
"I don't have any place for the word fear in my life but since you impressed me there's a reward for you" said Imlie.
"Reward?"
Imlie grabbed his shirt collar exposing his neck and pulled him close. He looked at her surprised and the next moment Imlie opened the button of his shirt and kissed near his collar bone. It was more of a bite than a kiss.
She gave a cold smile and said, "Show that off to your childhood friend, it's your reward for hating yet saving me after all"
Imlie left back for the party area when Aryan realised it was none other than a territorial mark she left on him rather than some symbol of affection.
He crossed the people in the hall and ran back to his room. Preeta was confused looking at him running back to his room in a messy look. He made his way to the bathroom and opened his shirt. He looked at the mark which was turning purple now in the bathroom mirror. He turned on the basin faucet of the bathroom and tried to wash away the mark she left with soap and water.
Alas! Even after two years she is still the Devil she used to be thought Aryan.
Goosebumps for me imagining the balcony scene. What was it for you?And Preeta our Baby Doll ain't a delusional girl here. After Anu, Preeta must be a good surprise for all of you.
Yours Mimi...
