Since this was something on which many Arylieians couldn't agree with, I thought would make a separate thread on the same and hence quoting you here KM181.

Today by making Imlie share everything with Sundar, especially about Aryan's infertility matter with her male friend and trying to justify Aryan through Sundar's words, CVs have indirectly stated that Aryan is their baby and that he will be taken care of, accordingly. I hope this might give you all some assurance that there is no need of any fear regarding Aryan's characterisation. 😊

I am taking risk saying this because I have only seen clips here and there. Forgive me if I am wrong. Been a busy day.

Hi Grace, I am sorry, I would disagree with you.

1. The thing is Aryan was shown to be private person and not shown to be naïve. Even if I take that he has relaxed since PF of Parindar, even then shouldn't he be relying on himself investigating, rather than relying on Jo or anyone else, so he doesn't make the same mistake? After all he is the one keep on advocating Imilie to not trust everyone. Only one instance I could relate to his anger against Madav is the confrontation in the office. How Madav made blunders.

2. Relationship dynamics is different. Sundar is family (I agree not all family members are reliable). Jo is a long lost friend who is reconnecting. The comfort level needs time. If you see the convo after the revelation, Sundar is gauging from both POV and care for both of their feelings. There isn't any convo to aggravate the situation. Like a true friend, a big brother. Also we know how their relationship was in tripathi family. When she left Adi, he saw her and give her the book but didn't tell anyone neither stopped her. It shows their bond and care. (When Imilie calls Sudar Bandar in front of anyone kind of give a bad taste in the mouth. He is Jiju and SIL of the family. I don't mind now and then within the family)

Jo"s convo is triggering Aryan's weak point. It's something related to his wife having an affair with someone else and pregnant with the child. I mean person like Aryan would want it to be a secret thinking of Imilie and the child he says he accepts. Especially how Narmada was against the adoption and all the dramas. It seems impulsive. I would expect Aryan to be more silent. I didn't like that he is not getting involved in the investigation and letting Jo take the upper hand in his matter. Where he isn't involving in Jo's matter. Given he is in shock, confused but he's shown to be more caring for Imilie. In our culture it's a big thing. It looks as he is letting Jo's assumption of tarnishing Imilie's character. Wouldn't he wants what's left to be protected. If this is real, it would be a skeleton in the closet. He wasn't even sharing well known issue"s pain with his own family members earlier.

In an ITV perspective, his character isn't butchered but the weight of his character is shaken. The thing is if not for this there isn't any drama. I am able to ignore the dent for the drama.

I openly say that I am biased for Aryan. So while I did not like his confiding in Jyo; as he didn't question Imlie once for me his character is not butchered. Also, ITV has made me keep my expectations low, I know for drama they at times show anything.

Coming to Imlie confiding in Sundar it felt so real believable, he is family her brother she has known since so long. Similarly, had Aryan shared with Arpita it would have all felt so real and believable. He is hurt and he knows where to look for comfort, his elder sister who only prays for this happiness.

With Jyo its not just about the 10 year long gap but the way they were shown initially. Giving an old friend hug, is common doesn't mean they are your BFF.

He didn't showed any interest in keeping communication with her, no phone exchange, didn't invite her home. While he might have gifted her earrings (probably because she would have asked for gift), he stole from Arpita, didn't took interest to buy for her.

During coffee date and candle decor in room, he leaned back to make distance and clearly said he doesn't need her help... So as viewer it's not our fault that we were never shown that bond and then all of sudden this friendship was forced down our throats. Also Jyo words are very poking and hurtful just sugarcoated in sweet tone. So how can Aryan or Imlie believe her so much so soon.

Maybe an unpopular opinion but I couldn’t accept Imlie sharing Aryan’s supposedly infertility details with Sundar. He is her friend, Jiju, he saved her from Aryan a few minutes before and caught her red handed, all done and said, I can’t think of a woman sharing such sensitive details about her husband to anyone. It’s his news to share it with the family. Same applies to Aryan sharing/discussing the situation with Jo. Yes she found out but it wouldn’t kill him to ask her to stay away from it. She can’t force her way in, if he had clearly told not to interfere- the way said when Jo try to character assassinate Imlie.

I guess, the point missing is, Imlie knows she is pregnant for sure and that means Aryan is not infertile for sure. So it's fake news not a private sensitive subject which can and should not be shared.

Hence, sharing with Sundar was not concern, anyways she is planning to do PF and say all soon in front of entire family including Aryan. Sundar simply got an early access.

Had Aryan been really infertile than situation would have been different and then for sure Imlie should not have shared with anyone.

What you said about Aryan should not be discussing with Jyo even if she got hold of reports 💯 aligned. He should have shoved her away, its too personal, intimate news.

But for drama, they made Aryan flip and discuss with Jyo. Silver lining though was him not questioning Imlie character at all. And only because of this saving grace, for me his character is not butchered yet.

Tagging you all as this thread gives a different yet convincing perspective of both Imlie and Aryan's pain.

I'm biased too for Aryan and that guy is fighting his battles alone. He can't confide in Arpita as that can put Imlie in a bad light(he doesn't know how Arpita will react) and it's a private matter after all. I think Jyo forced herself in the situation and he had no option but to share with her.

Right now he needs a confidante who can take some mental load off him. He is in too much inner turmoil to think straight.

His loved ones are his only weakness and Jyoti has hit there where it will hurt the most. She knows when it comes to his family Aryan loses his logical reasoning and becomes a man on a mission.

Makers have so far kept his ckt intact and I hope he soon gets his spidey senses Back

Thanks for tagging me

I totally agree with the thread and I guess in some way or the other that’s all of us are saying too, both Aryan and Imlie are perfectly correct from their point of view, both are strongly opinionated about their view on the situation.

Happens in real life too and the arguments stretch, just that listening to repetitive dialogues especially when almost everyone is forgoing their sleep and watching it at odd hours, results in frustration.

In your other post today where you had written a note to the CVS, you nailed the point- the trip audience are not going to be keen on watching Aryan say - I am going to kill Madhav- in 100 different tones 😀 They like drama even though every 5 minutes you want to say wtf.

Hope CVs do something about the script and capitalise on the popularity spike that Arylie are getting thanks to raviwarwithstarpariwar.
