I do respect your opinions, but m hanging here:

Slapping a DIL isn’t justified, whatever may be the circumstances. If Arpita would have left for sometime while Aru was in hospital, would N behave the same? Probably no. She would speak to her about it. Same thing. Speak to your DIL if you got any issues, slapping is downright disgraceful.

Even if N has been good very good to Imlie in past, doesn’t give the right to slap her now. Rather have a balanced thoughtful MIL than a one who is either too good or gets brainwashed in minutes. Excess of everything is bad.

If N respects BM, shouldn’t she also respect DIL the same? Is age the measure of respect a person should get? Also, the things about second marriage what BM said yesterday, wasn’t that something for N to think before their marriage? Now suddenly she buys the point that Imlie may be using Aru or may not respect her second marriage.

Even if BM knows any secret that she doesn’t want her kids to know, what kind of mother will let her kids be disgusted in the name of saving a secret? She has better way to handle if that is the case. Letting your DIL be called kachi ambiya is disgusting, even not liking Aru not saying a word against it. He said once and that’s it. IPKKND had ASR who didn’t take any shi* for Khushi after realizing his love for her. Yes, he did behave disgusting with her but never let others do it. Not anything I can think of. Here Aru is shown much stronger in personality to last ASR, but keeping quiet and letting BM talk rubbish to his wife and sister, I don’t appreciate.

N could have given cold shoulder to Imlie after the manipulation, that was acceptable. But not slapping in public.

Regarding the useful thoughts on getting away with this addiction, trust I tried many of it and was back :(

This is the only one I watch.. I don’t somehow have patience to watch 1 and 2… 1 is oversweet and 2 is overacting. ST and FK here keep me hitched.

I uninstalled my apps, canceled Hulu but came back within a week. I have never been this mad for a ITV series in my life that I spend so much time writing opinions about the episodes ☹️☹️ I keep telling myself, the show is no longer worth watching ( I do agree that’s true) but the curiosity gets me back 😭😭😭 I am hating myself for being this weak for a fictional show 🤨🤨🤪🤪

My personal opinion is we are all adults. You got a problem, talk to DIL. In no situation , I repeat, in no situation are you allowed to raise hand on your DIL… I don’t support this at all, this is domestic violence and should NOT be tolerated 😡

In many developed countries , it is next to impossible to see a MIL slapping a DIL and DIL happily taking the shi*. Their rule is simple- give respect to earn respect. Being elder in age doesn’t give them the right to abuse. Why is so difficult for our society to understand?

Also, some may be of the opinion that if mother slaps it’s okay for daughter then why not MIL? She is also a mother now. For that, my answer is I am totally against slapping from anyone. Once adults, they should be treated like ones.

I know it’s my personal opinion but would love to hear your thoughts on the same.

I hate any kind of slapping business on tv. Unless its something like aryan did to udaay where he was about to hit a woman first. Basically when any violence is being done in defense. I guess thats why in law too it counts for something. Even if the fl slaps someone unprovoked it feels disgusting go me no matter how much i hate the opposite character. Therefore narmada slapping imlie is not acceptable to me. Especially when she has been all about meri imlie n this n that from beginning. I get it she is worried about her son but that same son is imlie’s husband. So little faith in their relationship n love that she felt its ok to slap her for neglecting her son. Wow!

They are acting so smart these days, promos are catchy almost on most of the days!! Probably coz they aren’t liking their no4 position 😀

That’s was the point of discussion. It is no longer about if N did slap or should have slapped, it’s about how easily they show people slapping in ITV…I don’t know but don’t believe it’s how they should show it. The TRP audience caters to all age groups and we are definitely sending a wrong message there. This is domestic violence and they stop showing the DIL accepting this behavior in the name of respect. For once, can’t we show practical and respectful relation between DIL and MIL… guess too much of ask from ITV😀

Also, thanks for pointing the FL slapping too. Yea, that’s too dramatic. I keep wondering looking at those aisa kon karta hai real life main yaar? Why can’t they show things which are more real and less dramatic. The show is loosing its charm by being dramatic OTT like many other ones.

I’m done. I’m so done. They’ve ruined Narmada cause she actually did. She broke Imlie for no reason. Imlie wasn’t even this heartbroken from the 300 episodes of torture by Tripathis, including her divorce. Narmada shattered her illusion of incorrupted love from a mother-in-law.

Even Aryan was like who TF are you when he heard Narmada today.
