I may very well be wrong. I just thought it looked like a pellet gun but jacked up to look like a long range rifle with the addition of the scope. 😆

Bold:It depends on how genuine they wanna look. Some shows will use a fake gun, some will try and look really authentic so they will use a de-commissioned gun (one whose firing mechanism has been disabled but was a real gun before) and there are some shows that will use a real gun but without live bullets. I know on occasion a real gun with live rounds has been used but some have resulted in tragic consequences like the Alec Baldwin case.
