With Kayamath ,Shabir was the the first person to be cast by EK as the lead after playing Rishi in KTH.He was always supposed to be the lead .

With FK ,I am super glad he took the chance to work what ever the role was and it just became what it became .

I would definitely say this is one of the better farewells in recent ITV days. The last few moments with Imlie, that maturity and understanding of what he's lost and he mustn't pursue. That gentleness was a welcome relief. I also liked that he played Aditya a bit stonily in the last episode. It's a bit of what else can be done and that this chapter must be closed for once and for all and he was the thorn here.

All the best for MV and his future projects and it's amazing to the the production and actor work together to bring a decent end to an important character.

Now you see, for me that is controlling. It was not up to him to change her address, he had no right. That forces her to accept his house even if she does not want to. Very, very wrong. I have met and hated men like this in real life, there is nothing to redeem them.

His home is not a pleasant place anyway, too ostentatious and very boring, all white and dull. Imlie's village was far better. It was pretty and colourful and loved. His just has 'wealth' sof tamped all over it.

Imlie will never be really happy there.

To the Government of India, it's very irrelevant whether Imlie wants to stay at Aryan's home or not. The fact that her marital status and her domicile have changed implies that she'd require to update these details on her Aadhar card as well as her voter id for purely legislative and legalistic purposes without exception.

Like Sarce said, the premise that Aryan upadated these details without Imlie's knowledge is an ad hominen presumption.

If the character is left open to another entry, I sure hope the role goes to a very strong actor this time round!

The character has a lot of shades and can be very interesting if he's actually well written and portrayed by a season actor who can bring Adi's many complexities to the table.

totally agree with u Sir. They need a seasoned senior actor if AKT ever comes back. Someone of same age bracket as GM with more presence. I don’t care for AKT as character but he had a 300+ episode worth of life on the show. Was conceived at the hero. So there should be more to him then just trotting off to down under.
I know people were against AKT turning negative n MV fought against it and all but that would have been a better character arch in fiction than what he got by simply quiting and going away. So much potential was lost. Anyways i guess fans are happy they still get to keep their golden boy as golden. Best of luck for MV.

Potentially unpopular opinion... I liked the closing that AKT's character received during today's episode. AKT might not have been her forever love, but I think he was important for Imlie's journey and was required to come into her life for a time to ultimately push her towards her actual forever love, Aryan. I think this closing was respectful of what the character used to be and respectful to the two actors who worked hard to bring the character to life.

I've been watching Imlie since episode 1 (yes, I know how crazy that sounds and yes this show has fried my brain since then), and AKT was always a flawed but still a fairly morally sound character at the beginning. GM was a great actor and really made you believe in and root for AKT even when you wanted to throw rocks at him for some of his actions, he wasn't perfect but that was part of his appeal because you saw him change and (somewhat) grow over time. The rest of the T's were the same - characters that weren't perfect but did support Imlie and help her along her journey. For example, BK was Imlie's bestie before and her tutor who helped her study for the exams she took to get into college.

There is a regional version of this show that did not end with the AKT and Imlie equivalents being the end game, at least one has the Adini counterparts stay together. I thought they were leaning towards this version of the story at the beginning which is why I started watching. I think ST and GM's chemistry was just so good together though that they started to put them together romantically because of it. However, MC's character was a fan fave too so they had to ruin her to justify Imlie and AKT together but then they kept ruining AKT too instead of propping him up as a stronger more sympathetic ML. Then they ruined the T's too in an effort to stir up more drama.

Imlie and AKT had a unique bond in this show, he really hated her at the beginning because she represented a time when he was weak (in front of the village mob) but as they started to understand each other he was her fiercest supporter (he fought everyone for her, including the T's, Anu and even Malini before she went evil) and truly pushed her to achieve academic success as a mentor. I think this version of AKT deserved the positive ending that they showed in today's episode.

for what its worth. I loved your response. I didn’t watch imlie from beginning but i assumed with the kind if fan following the leads had that AKT is much loved character. And getting a perspective from unbiased viewer is always very pleasant.
