I completely, agree with you.
Imlie had a tough and challenging life. Her entire life she has been craving love, respect, and acceptance. However, apart from her Amma and Dadda, nobody truly loved her.
She got forcefully married to Aditya and fell in love with him. However, she never got the time to realize the true meaning of love. Her love for Aditya was mostly centered around his family and more of an obligatory nature as he was her husband. Nevertheless, she expected Aditya to trust and respect her, but he failed her. So when that relationship got over, she didn't want to keep any expectations. She didn't want to marry, she didn't want to fall in love.
Now that she is married to Aryan, she doesn't want to keep any expectations. Therefore, she doesn't want to believe that Aryan can fall in love with her or she can fall in love with him. However, with Aryan, she can feel all that she never felt in her previous relationship. She is slowly realizing what it means to be truly loved and cherished.
The word "love" becomes so much more powerful and real when trust, respect, admiration, and inspiration come in to picture. That's the love that enriches your soul and mind, and helps you become the best version of yourself. At this moment, she is feeling overwhelmed and scared. She doesn't want to tag her feelings as love due to her past experiences. So she is running away from her feelings and panics whenever she is confronted about it.
