1. the smooth way he pulls her bag and pulls out the divorce papers and gives her the pen from his pocket ( i was so conflicted when i watched it afterwards that what was your motive here ASR)

2. his facial expressions and how he stood in solidarity with her

3. holding and bringing her bag along (never misses anything)

4. and watching out for her so in tuned that he knew she was going to stumble. that was a difficult stumble.

thanks for posting this topic. i loved this episode...

Actually nothing, I think. It was one of those gestures one does to remind the other how foolish they are being. Aditya was being such a dense and bitter man, time and again doubting his wife's character, insulting her taunting her. When Aditya included Aryan in his pithy taunts and slurs, he had had enough of his bullshit. His action was tantamount to ,"You jerk! you really cannot be saved. Be my guest and destroy the best thing that happened to you." It was also, a way to show that Aditya cannot use divorce papers as a weapon to keep humiliating and hurting a young girl who is practically begging him to stop and trust her. That Aryan will be there for her. Because really, Imlie could not have pulled out the papers and signed them. She would have kept crying and begging which was so painful to watch. She is just a little girl, who cannot even think about getting divorce papers made..forget about signing them. Heartbreaking. This is way I cannot ever turn my back on Imlie as a character even when she is pigheaded, because of her vulnerability in face for such odds.

Precisely my sentiments. Neither is she entirely wrong (there are always mitigating factors in her favour in every situation), nor does she mean any harm. Which is why, it saddens me whenever she gets crucified by people (ironically, females mostly at that) for everything, everywhere. 😔 Funnily, the same people also cast doubts on and/or minimise anything she does get right. My heart utterly broke at Aryan’s that one second’s look of horror. That’s how horrifying that situation was, that even someone as “unfeeling” as Aryan Singh Rathore felt the full gravity of the pain and injustices that Imlie has had to endure this far. And he was merely listening to it. Imagine living through it. Imagine that being the reality of your life. I believe that was the very first time we saw Aryan react to Imlie’s plight.
