Adilie is a memory for people who cheered from the start of the serial, me who started so late never saw much coz even the episodes i started binge watching was when Imlie left the house and went to stay in the hostel.

But this 35 year old person has 0 skills in decision making, gets easily manipulated, doesn't have his own brain to process things, spits venomous words only to Imlie, never understood where he did wrong to Malini, did only the things he like, controlled his life with his high idealistic moral standards though it's absolutely hazardous yet I could have it coz the expression portrayed by the old actor was really good. Without expression the character turned too blunt and yes they could have developed his character but now he comes once a scene in every episode and mess up audience's mind. Coz the old viewers suddenly saw the stop in growth of this former male lead and the new audience like us don't even understand why he is here...

Just to make us suffer?

kekeke... Can't believe I am defending this guy but to be honest, I get why he is delu. 😂 The answer lies in the dynamic he had with Imlie and her lack of self-respect or boundaries.

1. So I have watched only from Aryan's entry but my understanding is that the relationship can be described as MIMI song -- Malini to Imli to Malini to Imli.... so and so forth. Neither of whe women really put a full stop to this yo-yo and in the back of his head, he has assumed that he can always go back to Imlie once this emotional chaos ends. Why? Because that was the pattern of their relationship. They break up, get back together and so on. In another drama I was watching recently, the mom character will advise her daughter -- you must set boundaries early on in the marriage because whatever pattern you set is what he will expect. If you keep your mouth shut and all of a sudden open yourself, he is going to be surprised and turn it around on you in anger -- if you don't like something, say it immediately.

2. Imlie has a tough time drawing boundaries because she thinks being self-sacrifical is some sort of virtue. However, self-sacrifice without self-respect is plain stupidity. The harsh truth is that self-sacrificial people (who don't have self-respect) are used and thrown away -- when you need them, people will approach them and when not needed, thrown away. They get used and they get the tag that they can always be relied to go back because all you have to do is a cry a few tears and voila, the person will accept. There is no volatility or surprise in such a person. Whereas, when a person has a strong sense of self-respect and boundary like Aryan, you know that once you cross the line, there is no going back with him. So people take him more seriously and are more careful about tossing in nonsense. There is no 'free go back' card with him -- not without consequences anway. Thats why everyone should have self-respect and that applies to all relationships. If you cannot respect yourself, then why would someone else respect the decision you take seriously?

3. Aditya is aware that the charges against him went away because of something Imlie did. In the real world, anyone would assume that only love for a partner would make a girl go to such lengths -- no one is going to think that she is obsessed with the Tripathy family and not him. That does not make rational sense. Hence his conclusion that she is into him and is in some sense waiting for him.

4. Imlie has not spoken or put Aditya truly in place. What do I mean by that? There is no true drawing of the line where she has told him firmly that he is her past and she does not care. There is not enough roar or strength in her words to him. It needed to be a slap, a zinger and a total cut off. Instead, she is clinging to the Tripathy family which just looks like she is clinging on to him.

5. His own self-righteous character means he thinks he has done no wrong. There is no sense of accountability and awareness that when you mess up, there are consequences to that and they can be painful. It looks like he has never had to face that kind of reality before. No one in his family has made him face that reality either. So it is a shock and disbelief that he just can't go back to how it was earlier...
