Hi everyone I am a big fan of imlie once upon a time. Pahle se imlie ko dusari shadi karana hai tho o kyon Aditya and Malini ki relation karab kiya. Pahele tho Malini is good character. From staring onwards Aditya ko selfish dikya tha. Serial ka concept kya tha. Imli ki sethamayya Aditya imli ki Mila ya tha. Madir me imli boltha na Aditya kisi ki sath ho imli tho Aditya ki sath rahene ki liye mannath tho mangha thana abhi kya. Trp ki rating ke liye kuch bi karthe kya. Audiunace ki koyi pasand na pasand nahi chahiye kya.
It may also be that like many real human beings, Aditya was just not the perfect man. Just like Imlie is not the perfect woman, no matter her moral compass, sense of justice, compassion etc, she has fallen prey to her emotions and impulsivity more than once. They are two puzzle pieces that just do not fit.
It may also be that maybe we are trying to break out of this mold of "that which god has put together, let no man asunder." Maybe God put them in each other's paths to simply teach them important life lessons. Ships passing in the ocean. Maybe their karma to each other is not being married to each other, but heartbreak and sorrows. Debts paid. Some people learn the lesson being taught and others don't.
Maybe Sita Maiyya's plan was to settle this debt so Imlie can move on to happier things in life and Aditya can find a higher purpose again.
Maybe this is a story of a woman in a changing era in metropolitan India. As much as we hate westernization, it is a reality of our lives. Instead of a woman being treated like a doormat, crying 24/7, lamenting over a man who is confused between her and her stepsister, the wise thing is to step away. So, why, pray, should she not find happiness again? Is it only a man's prerogative to be happy?
Maybe she has finally found her perfect puzzle piece in Aryan. I hope so. Just because Aryan is darker, does not mean he cannot change. He changes her and she can change him. For the better. I'd like to think so, because I saw NO growth whatsoever in her character in the past year.
Finally, like @reeha said, if Imlie is not your jam, I so hope you do find a show where the story goes the way you envision it. Cheers, love! ❤️
