There's just no way an established man of his stature and education could ever fall for a naive teen without it coming across as creepy and wrong especially when he's in a relationship with someone who's got a similar background as him.

I don't think the creators have even clocked on, on how much of a toxic mentally abusive relationship they wrote where the younger one idolises the older person and the older person grooms (intentionally or unintentionally) them into an ideal image and also never fails to treat them like a kid rather than an equal.

@bold you're absolutely right and he proved it when he learn the truth of divorce papers, he just asked her to go back to him sacrificing her dreams so he'll get back his control on her, he's just frustrated her world doesn't revolve around him anymore.

I don't even think he's capable of loving because he doesn't love himself, else, he'd have not marry his rapist while claiming to love Imlie and, you can't love somebody you don't know. He doesn't really know her else he would have trust her, not question her.

Your love for someone make you care for that person, protect her even if you're mad at her it will not allow you to character assassinate her and he did it publicly again and again. and you won't go back to the mandap because your love didn't came meet you after so much insults.
