He looked like a chusa hua aam, like his presence was irrelevant in the show, gashmeer had screen presence which this guy lacks his acting too is BAD, he looks more like a supporting actor

Gul should have casted an actor like Freddy D, karan singh grover etc but I think the whole purpose of aditya is now being an ass to highlight arylie and manasvi fits the bill

GM made you want to like and hate Aditya at the same time. It made you call him names and pity him at the same time. He reached in and pulled you into Adi's self-centered, egoistic, nacrcissistic world. I am sorry, but MV made me feel nothing. *Facepalm*

He is going to look insipid in front of the powerhouse that Aryan is and I feel bad for him.

FK on the other hand, I gotta give it to him. I had given up watching Imlie with the constant sautan drama and Imlie being treated like a doormat. In fact, I had watched his entry and had been impressed but not convinced enough to come back to watching it daily, until....I saw a clip where she is on the floor in his office and he offers her a hand and asks her if she was going to remain on the floor or touch the skies - something to that effect, before giving her her new ID as a featured writer. Something about that scene drew me in and the rest is history! FK truly had so much untapped potential and Gul got him as right as she has gotten MV wrong.

Maybe the PH had to scramble and could not rope in anyone else who could have been a decent replacement, so settled for MV.

I am just so very disappointed, because I was hoping for the continued fireworks between Aditya and Aryan.....not sure I will ever get them again......

I think the motive with MV as a choice was so that NO ONE roots for him. They are clear with Arylie so they will be sidelining AKT, his ss will be minimum and no established actor will want to pick up the role.

This is probably the second ITV cast I have seen where EVERYONE down to the last person knows how to act. They are spoiling that with MV... but hey I promised to cut him some slack for the next week at the very least.

I thought "half-slice" when I saw him. Between playing with blinds and trying to hold his own with Fahmy, I was not impressed. Fahmaan held his own with Gash and did his job of taking the audience over from the lead male while the male lead was still there! That's definitely not going to happen again. This is not an equal fight between two hero actors, now there is only one male star and that's Fahmaan.

Part of the issue is that they're so close in height whereas Gashmeer was not only taller but he also held himself very specifically and I am interested to see how Manasvi will adjust his acting especially now that he's had a chance to act with the rest of the cast. FK and M are actually almost a year apart (at least per the internet), with FK born September 4, 1990 and M was born September 1st, 1991. I wonder if that's why they went with the bearded look to help make him look older?

No one has posted any BTS with him yet (that I've seen) so can't even see how he's interacting with the rest of the cast so hopefully today's episode will give us more of him with the others. And Mayuri is (funnily enough) September 3, 1992 so I can't really imagine them fitting the same way.

I totally get what you're saying! I did find the scene where both of them stopped the spears probably the only time that they would a]ever be on the same side and b]somewhat impressive on M's part.

Ved Raj (credit as story on Wiki for Imlie) was the producer for FK's last show (Apna Time Bhi Ayega) so I wonder if he's the one who suggested to Gul K/4 Lions to bring him in.

This will will surely be interesting to watch!

I am still giving him a big solid chance. Another week or two at least. They had to move really quick it seems to find a replacement for Gashmeer, which is odd since they already knew of his departure.

Regardless, ITV world moves super fast. There isn't any time to get a level footing and of course Adis' shoes are huge to fill. From him being hired to his first day on the set wouldn't have been too much time

I think the next few episodes will just be pretty bland and Fahmaan heavy as the new actor adjusts to his role. After that it is all up in the air.

TBH, even though they wanted to give him a hero wali entry, since he is the original protagonist now turning (hopefully) into an antagonist, I did not see him matching up to that entry. Something definitely lacked in his entry, but let's just give me a lot of slack. Not kidding but I had to imagine GM in that scene for me to digest it 😆. Any who, back to the new AKT- to me looked like a raisin! My god he looked shriveled up compared to our old AKT.

In terms of his acting abilities... wellllllll 🤷‍♀️. I think the scenes with MV looked like were shot separately so they kinda seemed disconnected, so let's see when they actually show us some real interactions with Imlie, Aryan and the other cast members. Aditya's pure hindi dialogue deliveries by GM have always been powerful and so his first few dialogues were not impressive at all to me. I really hope that through this role he can gain some tremendous experience in acting.

Like some have mentioned that they began to watch the show again after Fahmaan's entry ..yup I was one of them. I stopped watching the show when it just became the same old ITV drama but FK's entry and acting is what drew me the show again. FK is an established actor so he was able to match GM's acting skills and his dialogue delivery also was just was strong as GM's so I was able to see him as a ML for Imlie.

Now coming to ST & MD. Sumbul and GM had a lot of chemistry and their scenes have always been powerful even after Aditya turned into a narcissistic idiot. Mayuri herself is also a powerful actress and with GM they also their own chemistry. So, matching their chemistry is going to be tough and an uphill battle for him for sure. Plus, MD will look so much older to him when they have to shoot together. I hope we will get to see makeup artists working their magic to make MV look a bit older and MD look slightly younger so that it doesn't look weird to the viewers.

I am not sure why they chose him as a replacement but maybe it's cause they want to make sure to establish ST & FK as the permanent main leads and remove him/sideline Aditya's character in this story.

Lastly, Congratulations to MV on getting this role! Also, good luck to you, as it will be a very difficult uphill battle for you trying to match up with GMs acting, but hoping for the best.

I totally hear ya @lovereading14 but I wish that was not the case. The idea of two powerhouse characters (not just actors) going toe to toe with each other is far more intriguing than sidelining one to prop up the other. Just seems petty and gimmicky. They just did not look hard enough due to lack of time I guess. Still disappointed.

I was surprised he is of a similar age to FK and GM as he looks much younger and more naive. Also less well built than GM. I don't know why they did not at least blend him in with similar hairstyle to GM as his looks are so alien to that of Adi one cannot even pretend it is our Aditya.

It is hard for a new actor to jump in at that particular point though, as Adi is actually defending Imlie which is good, even though he spoils it when he opens his mouth, but the effect of his defence is spoiled by him being a new actor. I had hopes at first with the teaser shots of his eyes etc, but the full face I have to admit was a real disappointment.

I am still sticking to the WUs only as much as poss as I waited and waited for Malini's pf and downfall and for Adi's redemption and remarriage to Imlie and it didn't happen and even checking in for just that was torture. I still maintain that Aryan is completely wrong for Imlie but now I feel we have two males in the picture, neither of which I would want her to go for. Before it was clear, Adi yes, once he wakes up to Malini's evil, Aryan definitely no. Now I would say neither. Oh dear.

I also sooo much wanted more scenes in PD, but not like this! It should have been Adi and Imlie remarried and happy. PD now has also been spoiled for me. I am trying desperately to find a substitute for this bludgeoned story, but I have yet to find one. 😞
