I am gonna get some raised eyebrows but for me its Malini. Think of everything she did to get love of one man, AKT. She really let her morals and character take a big dump. Now she is supposedly pregnant. If she is, then all thru her pregnancy she will not have the support of a caring partner which any woman deserves during their pregnancy. Being pregnant in itself is a big stress on a woman, add to that always being fearful that your so called husband will go back to his other ex-wife, no one to look after you when you need a certain kind of intimacy. Even after the baby is born, she would still be stressed out. Kids cry and need attention 24x7, maybe the T's will help but its not the same, what if she ends up with PPD. It's not easy being a single mom, which is essentially what she will be.

What was the point of all of this, keeping a man tied to you who has zero interest in you, may never ever be interested in you. Wouldn't it have been better for her "Malini" to move on, get re-married to someone else than do Adi jaap. But of course ITV, totally weird.

For me, it is Aparna. This character has no consistency and is used as a plot point to steer things this way and that. The actress playing it doesn't know how to cry or act well.

Reasons I think Aparna is worst (worse than Anu, Malini, and Imlie in heat):

Aparna - likes Malini's high status/beauty, throws water on a 19 year old for being poor and married to her son, doesn't listen to her son, says I am your mother is a justification for her changing views, thinks her raja beta can do no wrong, usually forgives him after one slap and reverts to blaming whoever is his wife at the moment, keeper of the patriarchy, expects every woman to bow before her son, popped out a son so she thinks that's work done, will sit and take out her gold at the drop of a hat to pay off whoever is threatening her son, moans Tripathiji and whines every five minutes, doesn't care if son was assaulted as long as there is a baby, wants to look good in society but has no values, entrusts her 35 year old son's safety to a 19 year old girl and blows the trumpet.

Who is the worst character in your view and why?

Spot on, hon...I don't think I need to go for another character when you just presented her to me on a silver plate..Aparna is the worst character for me too, Aditya is a close second

@Bold- that was the plan and that was why they brought Vishwa Gulati in... but neither was the poor man allowed to do what he was brought in for and nor was Malini (hither to shown as a doting and mostly idealistic woman) given a chance to move on..instead they butchered her for trps and look where that got them

For TRPs they mess up everything. Most American or British dramas have a set plot, they shoot the season and air it. Rarely but not often do they make such weird mid season changes. I guess the difference is that this is daily soap versus weekly but still even Indian audiences have changed now to accept logic in their daily viewing.

But evidently not enough of them have...a vast majority of the ITV audience prefer to ignore the lack of logic rather than address it..I kinda understand why they've become so numb though...there was a time when reactions on social media was never an option for receiving feedbacks...hence, they used to just go with the flow and simply watch different stuff if things got too frustrating...the thing is, I feel like the iTV makers are just goin backwards...the previous decade probably showed more progressive stuff on ITV than this decade is showing...how that happened is beyond me

The bold portion, I remember there was a post/article of FB a while back that how in the 90's there were very progressive shows where women empowerment and liberation were main points. Now its all saas bahu saga, only one true love saga (really!), marriage is the ultimate success for a woman saga. Yuck. 🤢

The makers of this show will butcher any character if it means higher TRPs one week. They are basically the TRP h**s that they are accusing others of being in the show 😆

I was thinking..ITV shows (except for a few) are the biggest cheerleaders for the patriarchal society, male chauvinism, misogyny and toxic male privileges... What starts off as a so-called 'progressive' show eventually just ends up in the rinse-and-repeat cycle...or gets taken off-air for good...if the channels and makers really cared about the society, then they would at least try..like Sony TV is trying now...though they do not have as much trp as cult channels like Star Plus and Colours do, they still try their best to not compromise on the quality of their shows...If everybody made a conscious effort, we could at least start getting some change..

Like how the TRP topper in Star Plus is doing...I really laud them for displaying what its really like for a woman.. we don't even realise that they're addressing some issues until we're smack in the middle of it...very sly of them...and apparently it resonates with the audience too...tho I don't like the OTT drama....

Imlie and the other trp topper on Star Plus on the other hand, just seem to be that...TRP cahoots of the channel..just another way to earn their way to the top..smh

Woah that was a long vent-out sesh...hope it didn't bore ya hehe

what you are saying is true. Not bored at all. That’s why I have been mostly watching either American dramas, Netflix Indian shows or reading books. Imlie has to be the first Indian soap I have seen in a long time. And to be honest it’s also mostly because of the Fahmaan he is delish. ☺️ Will wait and see how long this show or the fan following lasts for the show that is.
