So my theory is that it’s because GM is leaving. Even though the reception to Arjun/Arylie has been really positive they need to establish, really quickly, while they still have some old fans that might leave with GM’s exit that there is another love story here.

With my limited ITV knowledge, the quickest/easiest way to ensure that people stay hooked and watching is to make up some contrived reasons to continue throwing the lead pair in each others path.

In Madhubala for example - TRPs were not good. Suddenly they changed the whole track of the story. There was the 4-phere wale shaddi and a bit of tashan but then they had Madhu start falling pretty fast afterwards - especially after the man got shot and she saved him! Even just with that wedding their ratings starting climbing.

So yeah, they want to retain this momentum and you do that by having the new male lead start showing his love - cause it’s too soon for Imlie.

I don’t know if I’m explaining that well. I’m supposed to be sleeping lol

@bold.. that makes sense... cause there is no other way to keep viewers hooked without throwing some delicious bones to chew on.. and while we are all happy while we munch on it they will pave some angsty plot for future misunderstanding and more resistance from Imlie.

And all this Aru will keep on falling more n more for Imlie earning our love, sympathy, empathy leading to more TRPs.. so looks like a real solid plan.
