Yes this is what is the major cause of disconnect. for me. We have been a different Imlie all along and suddenly the change is her characterization and situation is bringing a disconnect and i am not at all enjoying.
Imlie is strong person, Adi has not left her and is still pleading her to come. She was adamant on keeping Didi along and now when that Didi has created a mess then she is all angry with Adi of not trusting her. I am not saying Adi is all correct. He is master of making mistakes but that is his character. The change here is in Imlie's character and thus the disconnect.
When I am not watching there is one thing that I realize as watching from Far being little less emotional.. What now i see between Adi and Imlie with respect to Didi is more of Difference of Opinion between Pati Patni for an issue in life. Issue here is Didi. So Adi is making his point and Imlie is makin hers. But now this Difference of Opinion has been named as Bharosa wala issue. I don't know if I am making any sense but it is actually Pati Patni ke beech ka mamla but IMlie has now made it public issue. This should not have happened. By saying all this I am no where saying ki Adi ke galti nahi hai in not listening to her.
But now the natural flow of Pati Patni ka rishta have been dramatized by bringing a new Guy and all shit drama around him and Imlie..

I think everyone agrees that Adi se toh expected hai that he will make mistakes cuz he has made these kind of mistakes all along....he hasn't done anything new he hasn't done before. He has always been shown getting guilt tripped by M and this current mistake is along the same lines. No one is denying that Adi committed a huge moronic blunder with the whole goli drama but again, the way he put his point across was all totally in character.....it didn't feel out of character.
It is Imlie's character that has been played with in this track sadly.....I could even understand that she had reached her limit of trying to get her point across to Adi so she just left in exhausted anger....but every subsequent day since then has muddled the issue. As you said, fundamentally it's a difference of opinion wala issue....they both have different perspectives about M now and that has become the sticking point. Even earlier they used to have differences of opinion about how to tell M the truth or how to manage her so called "dard", but they were overall in general sync about M's basic "mahaanta" as a person....lol the problems started when Imlie realized M's truth and she couldn't manage to convince Adi of this truth even after presenting direct proofs. She doesn't understand that his baggage is different from hers when it comes to M and over time yehi ek point ghiss ghiss ke they've both lost sight of the core issue.
Re: tamasha....yes, that was Imlie's first mistake - thinking that directly accusing M in front of everyone will somehow magically make them all believe that she is the real culprit.....and she just kept compounding this mistake over time even after seeing that people didn't want to see what was directly in front of their eyes all along.
My other disconnecting issue is that Adi and Ts have both been the same way about M....heck right now, the Ts are still DOTING on M in the house despite her being the one to make the accusation of Imlie shooting her.....lol kal hi Aparna-Pankaj were still doing Malini beta, Malini beta to this Psycho.....lol but somehow Imlie doesn't hold them to the same yardstick as Adi....why so? Then doesn't her whole righteous so called "principled" stand about meri baat maano fall flat? Why does she only need Adi to believe her about M and not the rest of the Ts that she claims are her family? 😕
Irony yehi hai ki Adi is a total zombie around M and doesn't even look at her while she keeps doing her chai, noodle, scrapbook bakwaas but for some reason he is vilified like hell for all this and no one points out why Imlie is still giving a free pass to the Ts who are the ones actually still talking normally to M while she spews bakwaas about Imlie even now🤔😆.
That is why this whole "mere self respect ki ladaai" bhaashan from Imlie rings so hollow....where does her self respect go when the same Ts she's still talking nicely to also go back to doing M ki seva in that house? lol why only demand that ADI kick M out? Why not ask this from her Aparna "maa"? 😆....Phir toh obviously it will just look like a bachkaani zidd that she wants M thrown out rather than a principled stand as a wife ki nikaalo us Psycho ko ghar se baahar since she is poisoning the whole atmosphere....but no, Imlie can't seem to articulate this and would rather just keep churning it into "meri baat maano".....and yea, baaki toh is baat ka public tamasha banaa ke swaha kar hi diya hai so that genie is out of the bottle now and aise hi chalega.....
They have band bajaaoed the whole bharose wala issue by stretching it so much and making Imlie so inconsistent vis a vis how she treats Adi v/s the Ts on this issue......so I'm not even sure kahaan se aur kaise phir se bharosa jodenge.
