Well that’s just it, we want him to be the strong and selfish Adi he was to Imlie but the sad truth and hard truth is that he was never like that with Malini, but for when he was pushed to yell at Malini because Imlie was insulted. That was the only trigger for him to get angry with Malini.

All other times, he again became weak in standing up to her and her mom. (Scene from M and Adi’s argument - you faint, your health will take a toll or your mother will come taunt). It’s those same things that are repeating again.

We are still stuck with Adi in the web of blackmail. It’s a facade that we saw him as an emotionally strong person but no. He hasn’t and will not be, unless there is a trigger point.

I will say this though from what I can see he is yearning to heal and he needs to show imlie that he understands that he is not willingly breaking her heart. He is struggling from what I caught in the episode to show her of why he is entertaining such acts of Maline.

The thing I got from the monologue was that he was asking why he was made to feel aware of love and hope of he was going and they were going to be living a lonely live when being under the same roof. His hurt could be felt because in a way he was admitting that when he was with Maline although his heart was empty he at least was unaware of what love could bring. The acceptance allowed him to howl and dream and he is know asking why make him see these if they were going to be taken for we have to remember with Maline his whole journey has been of doing the right thing for her and fulfilling her wishes because they dated. He ticked of a list without really knowing what he wanted.

I think the message the makers want to show is that the confusion he feels is because he is battling his mind and heart to convince himself of a truth that he internally knows is a lie. This is why he is behaving the way he is with Maline because he knows she is setting up hurdles in his way for he sees them even when he doesn’t stop her. This is why he is there physically but mentally because that were his heart is bound with Imlie.

He yearns to be with her on the small space he has left on him for or to be shown as a intention shows which is why he is wanting the date and is avoiding eye contact. And questioning the mistake he made and why he made them he is trying to find his path out of his denial in that moment.

… yesterday’s epi of them at the pooja was very poignant ( similar to another pooja much earlier) cos it showed they have made a full circle in the lives of these two ppl ( like imlie said)

first together but hearts were seperate

then hearts together but physically seperate with Didi in between and

now after coming together with heart and physical presence again forced apart by didi

their journey has been filled with thorns and they have endured so much with society having gained acceptance with that best bahu comp with adi colleagues and imlie friends and the beauty was they were fighting this together . The prob was the grahan that is Didi was never far from them…..first imlie refuse to accept Didi is a prob for 100 episodes then adi refused to accept didi is a problem for 100 episodes (?) and know they have completed one circle but in all this I remember that the truth will prevail like the win of light over dark.. our adi maharaj is not that stupid pls.. …I am still waiting for dushera reveal .. that was my final dateline .. well the pooja one is gone and dushera has to show the win of good over evil, light over dark

Why would he care about anything when his wife was almost kidnapped again? Again, the only way to make sense of this is that Malini was right there listening to their conversation. Any question asked by Adi would immediately expose Malini. He was not ready to do that hence the question of the debate. Also, he never took Imlie out on a date earlier except the chai date where he gifted her the sketch which was incidental. Though he always wanted to spend time with Imlie, he never asked her to go out with him on a date. This time, he did and also stressed that he wants no other person with them. He also told her the next day that he wants to talk to her about something and that's the reason this date was so important to him. He didn't say him wanting to spend time with her was the reason.

Even before that, why didn't he do anything about her college? Or did he? Did he ask KC to send a notice? How would KC know otherwise that Imlie is suspended? Imlie could've told him. But why did he not react much, not even get up from the table? He probably knew Malini was the reason for Imlie's suspension by then and didn't want to provoke her into doing something more dangerous to Imlie.

About the puja, he could've easily rejected AC's request and told Malini that he's sorry and is not interested in the puja as she already knows he's not into these rituals. But he stayed silent and looked at Imlie just like he did the other day letting her decide if Malini will stay here or not. Both times, he knows what Imlie's answer is going to be and that's the reason he let her decide.

In the car scene, Adi was observing Malini while NN pushed her back. The guy who rarely looks at M was staring at her. And he was doing the same after she got it and then asked her about the reports. Why did he care to ask her who called? And he had a weird expression after that.

Present:

From the moment he stepped into the C-house, he was constantly rolling his eyes. In the entry scene, he was standing behind everyone, utterly apathetic even though the puja was for the baby.

He gave an "I know she knows nothing" expression when Anu was asked about the context of the puja.

And when she gave her reason, he was not buying it.

When Dev was trying to expose her, he interrupted their conversation and asked everyone to finish the kaam jo karne aaye hai. Boy was he eager to leave but why is he so keen on finishing the kaam which is the puja. He rarely attends any puja as imlie said in pd3, he stays in his room. Ab kya hogaya ki eeka mann lag gava. The baby obviously. But was his mann really lagoed? He never once concentrated on the puja. He was constantly thinking of Imlie. So, the eagerness to finish the puja was for Malini's sake.

Note that he didn't buy AC's reason for the puja.

Next, he was sitting with everyone, still disinterested and Anu called the maid. The moment he saw Amma, he understood that she was being treated this way all these days. He knows Mrs.Chaturvedi.

He almost lost it but composed himself quickly(cap). Why? He could blast her and leave saying sorry to Malini and even assure that they can have the puja at his home. He didn't buy her reason anyway.

Also, every other time AC did something, he ends it by reiterating his point to Malini. He didn't even look at her this time. Why? He knows she'll be upset and get hyper, so he can't afford that.

Even when AC asked her to get back to work, he was mum. Though he was trying to compose himself, he couldn't stop himself from getting up to go after Imlie. But then, Malini stopped him and his reaction? A heavy sigh.

She said Meethi ji has all others with her. But he's still reactive, said ''no, I'm going with Imlie". Thanks to Aparna for stopping him and reminding him again that he needs to calm down. He gave his 'bachha' reason for not creating 'tamasha' and got back to his seat. Even that is not convincing to me. How will he let his wife and her amma work just because there's some puja which he himself is not convinced of? He knows what Malini can do. Again, his "ye sahi nahi horaha hai ma" would've been directed to Malini if not for the halat she is in.

Now at the puja, before it started, why didn't he ask Imlie to sit with him? Or let me put it this way, why was he okay with Malini sitting next to him? He knew that this is what Malini wants. And also knows that he will be performing the puja with her. Anything other than that would upset her so he sat with a resigned expression.

Now, the pandit has called the pati-patni. Rupi was so confident that Imlie should go. What would AKT do? He'd comfortably ask for Imlie's hand and take her there but he didn't even look at her. His expression changed immediately because he knew he is not going to take her and that's gonna hurt Imlie.

But the puja has to happen, so he gets up helplessly and sits with Malini. Why is it not hitting him that Malini is not hesitant? He knows she wants it. But he didn't leave the chance to assert that he's not her husband.

Now the really confusing parts start here. He calls Nishant in the middle of the puja while everyone is watching them to ask if the planning is going accordingly and tells him to bring her somewhere kisi bahaane se after the puja and reminds him that he wants to surprise her. All of this sitting next to Malini. Does he not know she might hear this? Could he not talk to Nishant after the puja? Ok, Malini has heard his supposed whispers and he's not surprised. He could've avoided discussion by telling her that it's nothing important and ask her to focus on the puja. But he told her about his plan [and sighed when she asked him to concentrate on the puja (cap)]. Why? Is it just a contrivance or he wants to see what she will do to stop him this time?

Now though he continues to perform perfunctorily whatever he's being asked to, he's fully aware of what trap he's being dragged into. So he again didn't miss the chance to assert that he doesn't love Malini.

Here, Malini said "jitna ek dusre se karte hai" and everyone's disgust was evident. Does it make sense that Adi didn't hear this? She's right next to him. Why did he not react then, if not for the reason that he knows she loves him?

Now comes the most confusing part that had many leave the "he knows" bandwagon in (as I remember) PPak ji's words. THE MONOLOGUE!

He started with "hum toh Imlie ki taraf badhchuke the.. laga tha humne manzil paaliya hai.. laga tha humne Imlie ko paaliya hai.." now though the whole monologue was very emotional, this part itself was very confusing to me. Whi is he talking about Imlie ke taraf badhna n Imlie ko paana now? That happened long ago. Should he not be saying this after the Janmashtami incident? when there was Malini in Imlie's place during the night?

And why is he saying he's on the do raahe again? Wasn't the 'do raahe' a point where he had to choose between Imlie and Malini? He's already chosen Imlie now. Why does he think he's back to that point again? Is it because he is being forced to choose Malini (albeit for the baby)? Note that when he was on the 'do raahe' the first time (or the second time if we consider him choosing to get married to Malini), he knew he loves Imlie. He was just torn between going forward with it and not hurting Malini because of his mistakes. Is he similarly torn between giving Imlie his saath by fighting for her and staying silent and not hurting Malini for the safety of the baby?

"Kaunsa galat raasta, kaunsa galat faisla humhe phir yaha le aya?" What was the galat rasta and faisla earlier? Is it believing that the marriage is fake and moving forward with the 2nd marriage? If so, what is it now? Is it believing that the pregnancy is real and trying to choose to walk the path of the baby shown by AC/MC?

These are my questions and I'm still confused about this whole monologue and I also feel like I'm drawing absolutely unnecessary and meaningless parallels. So, that's about it.

Now back to the puja, Malini started coughing and we all know Adi's concerned expression but he didn't give it out. He was doubtful when she said she's fine as he looked at the smoke.

As AC was running into the room, Malini started coughing again, and this time, he's sure it's because of the smoke and is confused why she's still not stopping.

But AC was yelling n all so he got distracted. Nobody was as offended by Imlie's prank as Malini was. And she started shrieking at Imlie. The usual Adi's tone now would be as if he's politely telling off Malini to not yell but he didn't care because he knew she would react that way so he was focused on calming her down.

Everyone was surprised that she's freaking out about the puja being halted. But Adi sat along with her without anyone forcing him because he knows she's not gonna listen.

While she started uncompromisingly arguing that the puja should be resumed, Adi is not at all surprised. He just wants her to relax, even if that needs him to redo the puja. He only cares about the baby's safety.

And suddenly, the psycho woman turned all peaceful and nobody noticed except Adi & Imlie.

The guy is now totally stressed by her actions and feels helpless. He's heading to the dining table to dine with her even though she's fine now and everyone is there to take care of her. Why? He's seen what happened once when he tried to get close to Imlie. He didn't want it to happen again.

But he still wants to go and talk to Imlie so he asks Nishant to stay very much alert. Why? He knows she'll do something again if she gets to know that Adi is going out with Imlie.

Just when he finished his sentence, Malini caught him with the 'baby is hungry' hook. He would've told her to continue, and he'll be back in some time. Earlier, he would even get up in the middle of the meal and leave for Imlie. But what did he do? He told her that he's coming without any second thought. He was so angry and ashamed of her but still he had to go for the sake of the baby.

Note that he told Imlie that he is "stuck" in this. He didn't say "it's my responsibility, we'll go some other day"

Coming to the precap, I don't want to predict much but want to reiterate the importance he's giving to this "date" which is very abnormal now. Based on the last scene, he left to have dinner. So, he wouldn't come back without eating. Could be that Imlie too finished eating, we don't know. So where is he planning to take her now and what is the "surprise"? I wish it is him telling her that he trusts her and giving back the deleted video lol.

And when she said to Nani that he doesn't listen to her so why should she listen to him, the face he made was not filled with guilt or sorry this time. It was more like "that is what I want to tell you, that I do, but you're not even ready to listen"

So, please answer my question y'all, and please don't treat me like a madwoman.😕

I'm to watching with only one hope n vishwas that there is no baby baaki AKT se bhi ghanta farak padh raah hai meko ryt now..

One more thing even after Imlie comes to understand that to keep Adilie seperated M might harm the fake baby she won't leave.. She'll try to protect the fake baby.. She won't interact with BS for the sake of that fake baby.. But her not leaving n still being with Adi every now n then wanting to to her will make DD take her next extreme step.. Be it revealing that there was no pregnancy while herself harming imlie or Imlie ka NDE.. Or else fake miscarriage..
