I guess the difference is that KC situation ke time truth was not out to everyone else, so he was insecure about any angle that may make Imlie leave him….she was not fully supporting him back then and holding back more so he was still scared enough to wonder if she was right about KC being a lie.
Now he’s fully taking Imlie for granted ki sabko sach pata hai toh what difference does it make ki Malini kya bolti hai aur kya karti hai🙄🙄.
Yeah he’s had a tendency to have blinders on about things before also but yeh kuch alag level ka contrivance hai for sure….he’s still insecure about losing Imlie but for some twisted reason, he’s presumed that SK will be the cause for Imlie leaving him rather than hearing anything that Imlie is telling him about Malini being the real cause of their problems 🤷♀️….
It’s quite a stretch to try and sell this angle under the explanation of “Adi finds Malini so utterly insignificant that he doesn’t even care if Imlie is telling him that Malini is hurting their relationship”….any average person will take his silence on hearing about Malini’s kaands to mean that he’s covering up for Malini cuz he has a soft corner for her as a “friend” or he’s feeling guilt tripped etc. But Adi is projecting to Imlie like Malini is a non factor in their relationship 🤷♀️😂….again, this is a bizarre flip cuz until just a few weeks back they were both acting like Malini is the patron saint jiski blessings ke bina their relationship can’t even exist 🙄….and now Adi is suddenly like, why are we even talking about Malini at all? 🤷♀️😂….suddenly he’s acting like a world didn’t exist before SK shot him and Imlie supposedly “chose SK over him” by helping him escape? 🙄😂
The writing is so poor these days that I can’t even expect if they will ever bother giving any explanations for these flips and forced selective hearing from Adi. As things stand, all I see are increasing contrivances to set up further cliched MUs 🤷♀️…inki relationship ki core communication toh deliberately follow hi nahin ki jaa rahi and I doubt they are interested in ever explaining why Adi thinks Malini is such a non factor now when he himself was earlier busy worshiping her as a support system for him and Imlie. They will likely always keep that in the vague zone to keep these contrived MUs going.
Ultimately it looks like Adi wants to have it both ways…Malini ke saath jhoota dikhava ki haan you are gehri dost who has my “trust”, and Imlie ke saamne self righteous rants ki Malini or anyone else doesn’t even factor into our relationship, so why are you paying any attention to them 😕. His character was being anchored by his commitment to Imlie after having done a big injustice to her in his confused phase. What he is doing now feels like a deliberate attempt to play dumb 🤷♀️….and it’s hard to give him any benefit of doubt for this despite his attempts at giving weepy speeches 🙄…..this is how a character loses credibility when they are walking a delicate balance that is suddenly turned into whiplash. Wish the writers had cared about that before casually butchering him for their contrivances. Oh well 🤷♀️
