Usme when she promises him to never forget, he thanks her and there for a brief moment they keep looking at each other. Something in his eyes shifts and she looks down, her hands starting to fidget. After this his hands hesitantly move towards hers.

In this entire scene, can anybody tell me what his eyes convey? Like something in his gaze transitions - if anybody can tell me what they feel about the language his eyes convey then

But jokes apart- that scene was something I had never seen done so well on ITV. There was a certain collegiality in that scene. So much has already been said about that entire scene so I will keep it very concise to your question. In that moment Aditya and Imlie had faced the biggest truth of their life. In their myriad confusions they had finally come to peace and that too without expressing much in words. The transitions of his gaze that you mention happens right after he first tries to reach her hand. I see that as the initial awkwardness......then being resolute on how she is his ultimate truth that he has been running away from.. He completed that entire deliberation, by not just embracing her first, but letting her close to him first, assuring her that she can touch him, come close to him, hug him and that she has that right on him. That entire shift in gaze just showed how vulnerable AKT was in that moment of truth and heartbreak.. The way that entire scene was done with so much poignancy and sensitivity, just makes you realize how talented the team is/was who knows. ST and Gash as usual were phenomenal!

I'm missing such scenes nowadays - that depth, that connect. Now it's all about DD and family.

See the point was not about the jewellary - it was about Malini trying to show that Imlie is willing to take something that is not hers. The issue here is that Malini does not know that a similar situation had happened earlier where even when Adi hated Imlie, he knew she will never take something that is not either given to her, or knows is not hers. Be it money, jewelry or even Adi for the matter. Malini refuses to look back and acknowledge that a woman who can allow her husband to marry someone else and give away her haq, why would she resort to taking something that does belong to her. She tries to equate Imlie to how she would behave in a similar situation, not factoring that Imlie has never been the way Malini has made her in her head.

I think that is the notion that Adi wants to show her and everyone else - that Imlie is someone who can never even think about even looking at something that is not hers - forget taking it. That is what he is planning. Now how he will execute it is left to be seen.
