Adi against the system - Why did he become a reporter

Last week's episode mein when Adi says that he was always angry with the system and always wanted to fight the system, something came to mind. Why is it that Adi is such a straight arrow and always wants to unearth the truth. As far as we can see in the T house, there is no one there who is anyway remotely like that. I mean in Imlie's case her dadda and amma are the main reasons for her drive to study and make something of herself. Similarly, Malini being a professor looks like a profession that her family would have approved of. But why did Adi decide to be a journalist, that too a Hindi one at that (his English is pretty good). What has driven him to want to bring out the truth and fight against the system for people who cannot. Reason for my doubts is because the T family is not one who stands up to injustice and surely do not fight against the world. So I wanted to know what could be the reason why Adi is so passionate to fight for people, as that is one of the common factors between Imlie and Aditya, and one of the reasons he fell for her.

This very soch.. the cliched expectation that you cannot be a hindi journalist if your English is good.. this is so wrong why can't someone want to stick to there roots despite having a knowledge of another language..? Why the general expectation is hindi is bad and is looked down upon.. why people take shame in their own mother tongues and have to resort to English and only that proves their worth?? And intelligence

Adi is a righteous man he is a saxha aadmi zameen se Juda they have time and again show he is a simple man who is straightforward and is more drawn to earthy things he really isn't into dikhava if any kind and he wants to set the world right and do good.. there doesn't have to be a particular incident or reason other than that being his core and his calling and that is what it is.. he wants to fix the system caz he is a firm.beleiver in be can fix things with his words and the power of kalam.

There doesn't have to be a particular reason other tha just their achaai I do not agree with T people Don't stand against injustice at all nope they may not be fierce but they know to call out mistakes too and they do pushback albeit not as strongly at times..

I never did say that being a "Hindi" Journalist is bad or wrong, just made me think why, as mostly in India people tend to gravitate towards things "Western" and "English", so I was only curious as to why. I respect his choice, I just wanted to understand his basis towards that choice. Also, while the T family are good people and they do pushback at time, I was curious as to why Adi is sooo different from his family that at times we feel he is adopted. The T family is not really one to stand up, coz then they would not bow down to everything that Any says, no matter even when they agree she is wrong. Everytime that Anu has said something either Imlie, Malini or Adi have had to defend the family in some way or the other, so it is hard for me to agree with your point about the T family.

In terms of Adi being connected with zameen and being someone who wants to set the world right, I also agree with it. His journey towards his coice of Imlie has been shown so beautifully, that I also want to know the journey of how it resonates with his initial choice of becoming a journalist. Even is PG when the student asked why he became a journalist all he said is that because use sui se dar lagata tha so rather than becoming a doctor he became a journalist. Usually in a series, the choice of the profession of the protagonist is usually connected in some way to the story, especially the journey towards the choice of that profession, which was why I posed this question.

Hindi is most common spoken language when u report you gotta knw it and connect with ppl ... live example Arnab goswami had to learn Hindi to connect to his audience but he speaks bakwaas and lowered the Hindi standards that is different story 😜

so Hindi journalist makes more sense and he can use his English where he needs it ...🤗

A person’s career choices need not always depend on their parents or upbringing. They can get influenced by the surroundings and happenings around them. It is their personal calling and what interests them as a person.

I don't think that only family could affect someone choices in life.

Yes the upbringing affect on the views of an individual.

But there is a lot other factors too!

Friends, teachers, outside world, books that we read, situations and life experience out the home, extra extra

So why he could not be deferent of his family as individual?

There is a lot of ppl out their are going against the common, these ppl who do the change in the world!

And you could find a mini examples around you, who do not do what their parents want them or expect them to be/do , and maybe just maybe you can find this in you. Not in a whole package like Aditya but in small gestures and choices in life.

Even I was wondering why Aditya was so different from T-fam. His family is nice but they are also people pleasers. They do not speak anything harsh or impolite. Aditya is blunt; For him speaking truth is more important than pleasing people. I think his need to uncover truths could have played part in his choice of profession. He also seems to have a natural inclination and appreciation towards hindi Lit. Remember how touched he was with Imlie's poem?

So he could have stuck to his truth that he likes to write in Hindi rather than writing in english just because that's considered more sophisticated or everyone is doing it.

Regarding why truth is really important to him - This is a pure guess. In one of the episodes, Radha says Aditya was always blamed for all the mischief caused by Nishant. As a child, he could have thought its unfair to get blamed or suffer for things one did not do. But after knowing the truth his family must have been remorseful. So truth must have become very important to him. This could also be the reason why protecting the weak could be important to him. Because he knows what its like to be weak and punished for things he does not do.
