I actually love that in Adi...his ability to put himself so openly bare in her hands...giving her so much of power over him..inspite of knowing that she is perfectly able to function independently ...waiting for her to give him that haq on her own volition!!

@bold: If you come to think about it, he in a sense gave Malini power over him too when he was in a relationship with her.....that's just how he is as a person....but Malini abused the power he gave her by using it to guilt trip him and keep him beholden to her out of fear.

With Imlie, it's obviously to a whole other level....he's laid himself totally bare, unvarnished in her hands like he's never done with anyone else in his life before, submitted himself to her and she still doesn't use it to her advantage.....he doesn't submit himself to her cuz he wants her to claim him out of her own need....he always wants her to function independently but he still wants to be a part of her life....that is what this is all about and that is why it's notably different from what he had with Malini. That relationship was all about co-dependency and an inability to function without revolving your life around someone......while here, Adi willingly makes himself more vulnerable in front of Imlie than he's ever been before anyone else in life because there is a kind of trust between them. What he's angsty about right now is that he wants Imlie to place that trust in him too to share her life with him.....he's sorted mentally from his side....usko bas Imlie ka intezaar hai😆

Waise I'm laughing also cuz I'm remembering his big promises in the sindoor scene that he will wait for whenever she gives him the haq over her and wants his saath.....lol mujhe tab bhi pata tha that promise won't last very long🤣.....SABAR has never been one of Babusahib's virtues.....lol....pata tha nahin wait hona isse and niklegi frustration the moment Imlie distances herself....wohi ho raha hai😆....he is willing to wait as long as she is still in front of his eyes....lol otherwise don't expect him to wait patiently😆

May be thats where lies the difference...

There is that conversation between Aparna and Adi shown in flashbacks where Adi narrates how he decided to marry Didi...

And then there is a coversation between Meethi and Adi where Adi asks Meethi "Ye humari ma ke liye ped par chadh sakti hai, humare liye gundo ke ghar mein ghus sakti hai, balla ghuma ke ladko ke liye ladh sakti hai aur hum itna nahi kar sakte iske liye!?"

There are hundreds of couple who live with each other with the safety of the first conversation which spells as "CONVENIENCE" and their marriage probably works ....but when the other option comes your way...the first option obviously pales...and nothing NOTHING can convince you to opt for convenience when you get someone who just manages to capture your heart soul and body!! There is no escape then!!

Haha I just wrote the comparison thing on another post...without reading this one...

In Malini's case we so many time saw how she was made to be understanding because he prioritized his work...She was all great and sacrificing as she held the bidaai samarambh for his assignment out of town. and how she would take a leave at the drop of the hat because he was returning from a village which was 2-3 hour drive away from Delhi....

In that case it was Adi who functioned independently...only the guilt and her insecurities bound him...he only came running when he felt guilty or she would be fainting...

Imlie has a courage of her own...she gave him the courage and brains to wipe the sindoor ki nishaanis as they neared the hospital so that no body would see her as suhagan...like he asked when she said that no woman can see her suhag with someone else..."tum kaise dekh payi!!"

If she can see her man getting married to someone else and survive...she can survive anything..

@bold: that’s adi’s problem these days... she is not in front of his eyes that’s what bothering him. Agar vo uske samne rhti hai to Adi feels relaxed ke she is all ok. But these days, as she is in Cs house and she is not telling truth about how they are treating her, that’s more irritating him. Point is he knows that she loves him but when she doesn’t involve him or discuss about her decisions like hostel mein jana hai ya nhi (yahi SAATH he needs badly) and she always keep dd Khushi top priority than his happiness...Adi irritate ho jata hai. Awwwww😍😍😍

love the unique adilie bond they show to each other ....just so different from normal ITV leads love gestures.

Hmm! Even though AC saree seems to be the same, Imlie is in a different salwar kameez. Ofcourse inke show mein time is like everywhere as it was in Interstellar. Also if I am not wrong, there are some more college scenes that are going to be coming up soon..oh well! Maybe she will leave for T's house and a few days later to PD...I guess at this point, THIS is coming up is enough excitement! :)

And it makes me laugh so hard that this was the guy mocking her ouat ke tum sambhalogi humein 😆when all he wants is that only and seeks subconsciously always and now is more direct in wanting that attention from her and again it is a different kind of attention not the way seeks it.. it is the trust the love the vishwwaas that imlie sab sambhal legi she would have the best solutions the unit feel is sonpooing himself over to that little girl show his rawself to her.. he wants that from her too to.come to.him for her every problem to be able to solve her problems just like she can his. He feels it is somewhere his shortcoming that she doesn't come to him he feels that constant Am I good enough for her he wants her to assure him that he indeed is and can depend on him in certain things.. like itna self sufficient bhi na ho haha like he just wants her to jatao her haq khulke demand for him and isko sambhalne ke saath kabhi isko bhi mauka bhi de haha it is adorable such a different kind of vibe going on and I love this dynamic so much

They have not really done anything extraordinary for any of these supposed landmark episodes. If you actually go back and look, they normally maintain a steadfast story around those times while pushing the story forward. Next episode may either be a cliffhanger or if something happens it may be in the fag end. But let’s see, the scene definitely does not look like a dream 😆

@bold 2: Bring on the TADAP man! Humne toh DARD GAMES expect kiya tha pehle when Imlie came back to Delhi but woh abhi tak theek se huwa nahi. Maybe it’ll happen now after Adi’s declaration that he’s going to stay away from her.😆 Seems like Babusahib ko chain nahi milegi until she admits that she also feels pain being separated from him and needs him just as much.😆

I hope they actually give us some tadap though. Last time bhi they closed it all off in like a couple episodes 😆

Aditya has been bechain since the time she walked out of the forest after stopping him from saying that he loved her. Tabse jo build-up hua hai, it reached a breaking point in the last episode. He will now wallow in self-pity doubting whether she even likes him or not 😆 Pata hai she likes him too but general mein slosh around karna bhi iss bande ko pasand hai. If last time was about Aditya’s realization, this time’s PD visit will be closure on a lot of fronts including Imlie’s acknowledgment of Aditya’s place in her life.

I’m just glad overall that the story is getting back to the pace it’s known for.
