Make it make sense

Can someone tell me exactly what the point of Rupali knowing the truth here is? I see no point to the revelation except putting someone other than Aditya who could give token defences to everything they’re about to put imlie through. Seems like they want to amp up the torture so they wanted someone there to speak up for her ek do lafz taake humara sar zyada na phate (since that didi ki bhakt zombie has completely lost the ability to stand up for herself).

The one thing I was the most proud of about this show was its storytelling. The way they subtly and organically wove this story. I see the exact opposite of it now, very little makes sense. Rupi knows such a HUGE truth, koi choti baat nahi hai yeh and she didn’t bother to question aditya once?? These faltu ke side eyes do nothing for me when she accepted the truth as it was and moved on not holding her brother responsible for what he did even once. Not asking him ke kyun kab kaise hua, imlie just told her they got married bas udhar baat khatam? That scene was good but after that they put her in the shadows again until they need her to speak do lafz of token defense. How?? It makes no sense she won’t speak to Aditya. They haven’t even shown what her thoughts on Malini are, seems like she’s ok with both of them being the bhabhi, aise kaise behan? I am so tired of pehla haq pehli patni, yes I know that, but what about want and need and facing the truth of how one relationship was not right for him and in what ways the other is?

She’s neither speaking up for imlie nor for malini to him. How come she didn’t question him for making his wife live like a servant? How come she didn’t apologise to imlie for everything she had to go through, how come she wasn’t furious at aditya for making her go through it? Especially since she herself has gone through something similar. How is she not asking aditya he married a second time khud hi na, toh ab kya problem huyi ? Yeh roz ka normal hai kya do do shadiyan karna? why is aditya not being questioned by her? maybe because no matter how different she is from tripathis banne same hi material se hai, baat nahi karni bas apni karni hai jitna bhi senseless ho, honestly I am just trying to understand the logic in her not approaching aditya. Idk what they’re waiting for sab kuch toh uske saamne hai. Oh, maybe because it will give more ss to aditya and his and imlie’s story and how can we have that in a show that is about them? (let me be salty please my brain is nearly fried rn).

Storytelling gayi tel lene, hawa hogayi.

Rupi knows the truth yet it does not seem like adi knows that she knows. They have not talked. He has not wondered why rupi didi all of a sudden is so supportive and protective of imlie. Ts ko bhi jhatka nahi laga ki rupi imlie ko itna support karti hai. Unko waise bhi adi ka behavior jarring nahi laga. They are all behaving in a vaccum within themselves. Kisi bhi cheez ka koi reaction nahi.I am hoping they give us a back story later on. In the meantime i watch each episode with behadh dread wa.😆

I didn’t even bother watching the whole episode. Left it beech mein. I don’t have the patience for this now. Adi accepting malini’s story was quite senseless too especially with the bride’s get up and asking him to say he loves her.

Bold: Exactly, even he isn’t wondering itna pyaar kaise umarh raha hai and why is she asking him to support imlie, he isn’t confused about her reactions either. But after the didi ki fazool ki story maan lena I can deduce his tripathi genes are acting up and his brain has gone on an extended vacation as well. Uss case mein toh bohat sense banta hai phir 👍🏼

You have to understand that right now it is Dementor Didi eating up all the footage, with her perfect makeup in the hospital room. It is only about Malini and no one else matters.

We got to see Nishu in close up today.... who was trying v hard to sound serious and all, talking and giving his opinion.. that sucked totally..I mean his close up shots n acting.

As for Rupi when did the Dd give her the time to even have a convo with

Adi. I think she is sensitive to Adi's frame of mind and being a mama bear to Imlie, which Imlie needs more than she realizes.

With Dd back in the house, maybe it will give Rupi a chance to observe her more closely and think out loud... these days it is too much to expect and if we get a half decent scene in a day, it seems like a boon from the makers.

Heck, I would even settle for a deeper convo between Rupi and Imlie, I would like Imlie to pour out her heart to Rupi, she is being weighed down by her immense guilt.

Watch with no expectations right now as this week has been tortuous to say the least.

Entire storyline is not making sense for this new twist.

How is marriage at gun point legal ?

someone you are with for 7 years is all of the sudden not your love after marriage.
girl half of your age who is forcefully married to you is love of your life. ?. is it love or sympathy / guilt from mistreatment of her.
how does family takes in a strange young girl and accepts her with open arms in to the family ? To a point that if her presence causes rift between son and daughter-in-law will still side with outsider.
rupali knows the truth and will not only confront involved person but won’t tell anyone in the family even in the middle of life and death situation.. tripathi’s have lost their marbles all together except finally nishant made a valid point of sending imli to hostel.

I loved the show at the start but it has turned into a stubborn fight over sindoor ki dibbia.

Only just and common sense clad character is annu ( Malini mom ) her reasonings are not evil but are of a normal person. May be little aggressive but for right reasons.

Omg I too felt the same how lame is this guy to believe this stupid story ? Isn’t he supposed to be a senior reporter who does stories for living? This was too obvious to even feel anything remotely true story coming from malini. The way imli keeps on saying keep malini happy and didi love but her actions doesn’t show that. Adi is useless two timing looser.

Hasn’t it been about Malini for a long long time? PD, which was supposed to be the most pivotal turning point in adi imlie dynamic also had more than half the screen time dedicated to her for the pointless no reason ka rona. They’re lucky they have ST and GM playing the characters of adi and imlie ke they created such a great impact with what they were given through their acting and chemistry, give them even a few scenes but with amazing writing as that and look at the gold they delivered. How awful they’re letting the potential waste.

Yess, I so want a scene with rupi and imlie too, they so need to talk.
Malini and imlie ka nakli behanpana nahi dekha jaata, dono ki taraf se cringe lagta hai mujhe 🤢

The story to me made a lot of sense till the press conference and mun adi fights. I am not going to give you reasons of how adi fell for imlie. The reasons have been given multiple times here and I am not doing rinse and repeat.

I can give you examples of amongst the many scenes why I believe adi and malini were never meant to be and would not have worked with or without imlie, malini herself admitted from episode 1 till now aditya didn’t speak romantically with her a lot or hadn’t shown jealousy or much interest in doing things with her, see his shadi to imlie ke pehle ka behaviour and baad ka, baad ka formal se achanak extra affectionate hogaya because of his own guilt. That was the one of the things that he did so wrong because for him it was evading his own self but to malini a perfect relationship. But this story is all about the complications of feelings and relationships, it’s not about shaadi or legality or any of that stuff to me. Regarding the fragile nature of relationship based on other reasons than love (comfort for adi, emotional codependency for malini), it has portrayed that very well. Plus malini and aditya’s taste in clothes etc must have been similar but they are very different in their core nature. That was made clear after malini went to her mom crying and accusing her of trying to ruin her relationship instead of standing up to aditya when he faltu ka burst out on her for the car thing. Baad mein kisi aur ne (imlie) inki larhayi theek karwayi and she accepted lying to aditya about the poem as long as she patched up with him. She never stands up to him because as soon as he says ek lafz in barely convincing her she would go back to him and forget all about it to maintain the perfect marriage ka mirage. He is too strong headed and she’s the exact opposite. Imlie hoti ya na hoti, this relationship could not have worked for long.

As for Anu, I like her too because she’s damn entertaining and I watch this show for entertainment. And because woh uss loser dev ki dhulai karti hai which I love. But as a character, she is not right in her reasons in regards to imlie. Remember we need to be watching this from the characters’ pov not as the audience who knows imlie adi are married. From her pov since the start she’s been a classist woman who treats imlie like shit just for being househelp and because of her personal problems with dev when what she needs to do is leave that loser but she doesn’t have the courage for that. She’s not right at all, just someone’s who’s been wronged and mentally tortured nearly by dev so you can understand her. I personally love characters who go through shit and don’t give in to cruelty as a justification. Who remain kind despite it like imlie and meethi had. Just because I went through crap so I have the right to treat everyone like shit waale characters are not it.

Malini also does that though. She gave imlie a nervous breakdown almost because she didn’t have it in her to confront her husband seedhe seedhe and conveniently forgot it the next morning calling imlie important to her. You can’t point only one out. I do agree the behanchara needs to be toned down though, it just gives me a headache now.

As for adi, to be a two timer he has to be in love with malini or pay attention to her in any romantic way. He doesn’t. He has completely distanced himself from her in that sense. And where his patrakari skills are concerned, I can’t defend that since I am also searching for the answer. Right now all I am coming up with is lazy writing bas.
