This girl is something else!

No brownie points for guessing that the title of my post, is in reference to the last shot of today's episode!

Never mind also how Imlie's sindoor is possibly the catalyst to the way forward in the story....

It is Imlie's belief

Is Aditya's source of strength

Is Malini's cause for being unsettled

The makers are doing a splendid job of how this love story is unfolding

Aditya and Imlie are a couple in love....their angst a beautiful testament to the same!

Imlie's trust in Aditya's sincerity towards them, is propelling him forward....the assumed lack of it, brings his world crashing down

Imlie has recognised the distress of Malini's presence in Aditya's life....but, is consumed by her sense of right over wrong

Malini continues to live in denial....her husband is disintegrating before her eyes....his desperate pleas of also having invested 7 years of his life.....is still not ringing a bell....that the relationship is all but over!

What dignified story telling of a classical love triangle! Kudos, Team Imlie!

This story, IMO, will be as much about Imlie's acceptance about the inevitable with Aditya, as it will be about Aditya's integrity

There were some beautiful moments in this week's episodes that alluded to the same

Some telling shots of Imlie's feet walking towards Aditya's room and backtracking, several times.....her 'guilt' holding her back

It was Aditya's ill-health that convinced Imlie otherwise.....a superlative metaphor, IMO, of the possible times to come....

What a refreshing change of ITV viewing that will be!

A definitive round of applause for Aditya's clarity of thought.....of finally, being able to move past his inherent escapism

He is crystal clear of where this is headed....he realises the toll that every passing day of living this lie is taking

Not just on him, but on Malini too!

This is why investing 30 minutes before one's TV set, almost daily, every week, feels gratifying....

Am also pleased that Imlie's individual journey has finally started....is clearly not going to be an easy one....her steely resolve will pave the way, though....this time around too....

Her application of the sindoor today.....was just a glimpse of the same!

The rest, her besht friend "Ms Kohni" will handle most efficiently! :)

Atta girl...way to go...our very own "Powerful Imaliya"! You truly, most truly, inspire me, girl! *STANDING OVATION*

P.S.: Really loving the way the makers are handling the tense face-offs between Aditya, Imlie and Malini....absolutely realistically done! 2 cases in point....one, when Malini lost her cool, with her insecurities getting the better of her, and was downright rude to Imlie....loved Aditya's calm rebuttal...no frills, no frounces....just drove the point straight home! Yet again, when Malini was "competing" for her "rightful position", no declarations of cliched defences for Imlie....Imlie most logically goes and sits in the seat behind, avoiding the done to death rear mirror scenes of eyelocks between the leads! The most gorgeous closure to this scene....Imlie gets off first....her 1000 watt smile of achievement lighting up that face...Aditya's face also beaming with pride as he wishes her "All the Best"....the superfluousness of relationships don't matter to these two....they have it completely sorted!

P.P.S: Gashmeer Mahajani was just outstanding this week, as he brought out Aditya's agony and despair, with such effortless ease....the guy is truly talented....as is Sumbul....some of the scenes that she enacted in last week's episodes....most definitely, has a sound understanding of her craft!

P.P.P.S: One complaint though....they've got the Math all wrong...Imlie is 19, I guess....she should have finished college by now (she has always excelled academically, and thereby couldn't have flunked earlier on)....she should be doing her graduation now....I think Aditya had made a passing reference to this earlier, when he had said that Imlie was preparing for her entrance exams....guess amnesia may have hit them or the virus, in the 2nd wave of the pandemic! LOL

She is done 12 th it seems and joined for undergrad. 19-21 is undergrad age I think

The quiet pride in Adi's eyes as he saw Imlie take a deep breath, her first step towards her dream. It was a true partnership on display here where he wanted to see her absorb the college experience, that she had only dreamt of before. Seeing the world through her eyes, is a fresh experience for Adi.

As for Imlie, maybe she started school late, high school pass out age is 17/18 for most kids. Imlie is not that behind and she is the right age to start her undergraduate degree.

Having studied under difficult circumstances and very very rural area, with no dads name and financially very backwards ... it’s quite possible that she may have missed a year or 2

To your response, that was indeed a beautiful moment...in fact one of the highlights of yesterday’s episode, in addition to their quintessentially quirky banter over the kadha pilaofying moment!

These two just get each other...with or without words! :)

As for her age vis-a-vis academic preparedness, guess you’re right...she may have started school late, in case she is being admitted to Class XI.

Alternatively, I would have preferred a scene where her entrance exams could have been followed through (since the reference was made by Aditya himself), with a gorgeous “Pythagoras theorem“ in tow, and her admissions being an output of her entrance results...would have closed the loop perfectly! :)

Anyway, you have a good week ahead....
